Duran I assume is identified as a more Haaland type player as our blueprint of style seems to be based closely on Pep. Someone who finishes moves rather than connecting them. Maybe better explained one of the best in box finishers with feet or head. The rest will need to be coached. Jackson, who I adore as a player, is more of a build up link alternative. The big thing with Jackson when comparing him to a player like Giroud or say Firmino would be his pace, also I think Jackson keeps it simple which equates to him laying it off to more creative players (rather than being creative as such) and quickly getting into position for an opportunity. The amount of opportunities he gets I haven’t seen since Costa. That’s not going off stats, eye test only. I am a true believer that his finishing will get better as he settles in to the PL, and regulator first team football as a striker. His general work rate is insane and can’t be compared with the other 2. Then we have Nkunku who is a calm manipulator of space. Calm on the ball, calm when shooting. He can be very effective in many positions. But in the Maresca system I only see him playing in the inside 8/10 or striker. I like that we now/soon have three different options depending on the opposition. Rather than having 3 similar players competing against each other which can cause mayhem. Although I’m sure the team will connect best with a certain striker for the majority - there’s something to be said for continuity.

It's not about Maresca wanting a player. He is the "Head Coach" and not the "Manager". He doesn't care which players are available. He is here to build a system and not a team. All he needs are quality players who are available to fit that system. If the system is not working, you blame the head coach but if players are not performing, you blame the sporting directors. That's how Chelsea are operating right now. I wouldn't mind Duran joining because I don't think Alvarez will be available. And moreover, Jackson is injured. Also he is a different player to Jackson. Duran could prove to be better thank Jackson.

Duran is far more a finisher than Jackson in teams of scoring goals. Jackson plays childishly without hungry for goals like a Striker. He mainly enjoys the game than looking for victory, you don't call that type of a footballer Striker. Chelsea were using him as a Striker just because they didn't have one. A good Coach will understand better that Jackson is not a Striker then use him at his right position in football.

He scored only 5 premier League goals all season. And we feel he's better than Jackson who scored 14 goals. Jackson is good.. he is fast, very good in positioning and only lacks that finishing ability which we feel he will improve with time
