From what I understand, Postshot is a desktop application, while this video is about how Kiri Engine brings 3D Gaussian Splatting directly to your phone. This makes it much more accessible for creators who don’t want to rely on a desktop setup or additional hardware. Another key difference is that Kiri Engine also provides the ability to convert these splats into meshes, which makes the scans more versatile for various workflows. That said, while this video is sponsored, it’s always part of my negotiation to ensure I’m not limited to saying only nice things. I make it a priority to point out flaws and stay objective in my reviews. If there’s enough demand, I’d love to explore creating a detailed comparison video in the future!
