Sounds nice. Doesn't the parallel trick around 16:57 achieve the same thing as the mix knob in the plugin?

Sort of, but using an effect rack gives you much more control. When you use the wet/dry knob in a plugin, it blends the processed and unprocessed signals, but you can’t independently adjust their levels. This limits how precisely you can balance them. By creating an effect rack and adding a separate chain for the processed signal, you’re essentially setting up parallel processing. This allows you to completely separate the dry (unprocessed) and wet (processed) signals. Now, you can fine-tune the level of each chain individually, meaning you can push the saturation, compression, or any other effect as hard as you want, while still maintaining complete control over how much of the original dry signal remains in the mix. This approach provides more flexibility and can lead to a cleaner and more polished sound, as you have greater control over both the effect and the original signal.

Cool video, was a good watch. I also use E on bass and simetimes vocals. It really beefs up the low end and gives a nice silky high end
