volume 3? nice (my headcannon is still the starship theory, the whole secrets within secrets. It is only middle management after all)

I bet house bought vault 3 and 21 to make truly like they were advertised to be. Cause they were both control vaults and the house truly cared for Vegas safety.
@GabrielLopez-ec9fcАй бұрын
I dont think so it sounds like house is more concerned about his power over vegas and a consequence of that is he lays down the law to all who oppose which helps to bring stability but I don't think it's cuz he cares or he would of helped freeside it's more about money and power and to make money things need to run smoothly its a business not a charity

its sad that the starship theory doesn't work. I really liked the idea of all these horrible experiments being done to test the human will

what do you mean it doesn't work? you telling me Vault Tech Among the Stars *isn't* Bethesda carrying that torch?
@Admiralofthedeeps3 ай бұрын
I like neither the starship or the business theory. My headcannon remains that the vaults were just created by insane scientists who knew that they could do what they wanted and no one could stop them. Whether they succeeded or failed, it hardly matters because its all data for them to collect. Until the show, I had hoped that there was a vault somewhere full of prewar gouls or brains in jars, etc, that were all carefully monitoring the ongoing data from the vaults.

the starship theory could still work the whole rich people buying up vaults and seeing what they would do is a test to see if they could be trusted to run something and do their own tests

4:21 yeah, there was a lot of stuff in the show that kept giving us more questions than answers, but on this particular statement, I think that the Great War wasn’t started by Vault-Tec since the daughter, Janey isn’t in the safety of Vault-Tec. I know that Cooper’a wife is kinda evil & her morals do seem ambiguous, but the show makes it apparent that her family, more specifically her daughter is the main driving factor behind her motivations. She originally wanted her entire family to be safe, potentially from whatever harmful experiments were going to be conducted in the future. So it doesn’t make sense that the bombs were dropped when Janey was outside and in potential grave danger. That’s just my guess
@legend795117 күн бұрын
It's sorta implied towards the end of season 1 that the wife may find out that cooper is spying on her. She says she will take a look at the pip-boys suspicious behavior and with her position she could easily trace the source. That might've been enough to flip a switch for her realizing her husband is a perceived "spy" or enemy. It could also be the case that Vault-Tec dropping the bomb was just an idea in case neither the USA or China decided to do it themselves, and in the end either US or China dropped the first one anyway. It would make sense for VT to have some contingency plan since they've hinged the entire existence of their company on the pretense of nuclear war.

I haven't finished watch all of the video yet just the bit about 31, so you may address this later in the video. To me Vault 31 is still an experiment, lending to the theory that there is not control vaults and that the Starship theory is still the most likely reason behind the Vaults existences. I have a couple reasons to support this. Bud is clearly not in charge (and possibly holds no power at all), this is evident in the round table scean the most. For one His title of Senior Junior Vice President is the most nonsense thing I've ever heard (and if that's an actual corporate position in the real world, maybe we do disserved to get nuked). He clearly had no power or control over the direction of the meeting (as mentioned looking horrified about the suggested experiments), the shadowy individuals (my guess is Enclave) who are overseeing the meeting from the balcony look to be directing Barbera and not Bud to revile the bit about starting the war. As for the Vault itself and to its experiment. Bud is a brain in a jar, which we know generally go insane and decay after a relatively short time (as told to us by House as to why he didn't use it to prolong his life). The cryo-chambers were being tested in Vault 111, if its proven tech good enough to use in possibly your most important vault and people, why do you need to test it then in a different vault. So far the only people shown to be in those cryo-chambers are low level assistants (as in secretaries and low level management) like Hank and Betty. (I don't even think Barbera and Janey are in there and may in fact be dead. I think that would be a way better fit to Coops arc then him finding them alive and frozen in 31). How it fits the Starship Theory The experiment was to see if a Brain Jar with zero supervision could keep a high tech life-support system going (maybe also test a different model of Cryo-pod as they are different to those in 111). Also to test how a society could be molded by a hyper loyal group, by unfreezing them over the course of the voyage to ensure that the population of people onboard the ship could perform general maintenance and upkeep of the ship and stay absolutely loyal and driven to the mission, and in the event of a catastrophic failure of the cryo systems be a backup population for colonization. How it fits Reclamation Day Theory The three vaults serve a similar prepose to 13, to keep a population of unirradiated and unmutated people alive until needed, it's just a bonus that the majority of them are absolutely loyal to Vault Tec (and maybe Bud, who is a moron and easily manipulated). The vaults would've opened their doors just after the events of Fo2, had the Enclave successfully released the modified FEV wiping the surface clean of all "non-humans".

I believe Vault-Tec did not start the war but was ready to do so. I think if the US and China had tensions cool or had a peace treaty, Vault Tec-would start the war. However, the Sino-American war went nuclear in 2077 from either the US open government, the Enclave, or China or an accident. If the war had not started within a certain timeframe, I think only then would Vault-Tec start it. Edit: I see that you had the same idea at 4:47.

I don't think the plague in 33 happened at all, I think Hank faked a plague to force people to isolate in their quarters while he went out after his wife and kids (possibly with Betty since she claims she was with Hank when his wife "died") then her being missing afterwards can be blamed on the plague.
