Wow. I was just thinking yesterday of whether Kris Vallotton knew how much of an inspiration he is to believers and prophets; how much impact he makes through his simple yet profound sermons. And then today, I'm hearing him say he has questioned this sometimes. His meekness and authenticity; his eye for God and His communication even through the simplest things; his broadview of the body of Christ: he will be remembered for these, for being a true father in the faith. And I'm forever blessed to have heard him.

It was said the best leaders are also great followers…not to disagree but an honest question…I always felt the pioneers were the best leaders bc they go against the grain (out of inner conviction not rebellion). The greatest influencers throughout history to me seem not like the ones who followed 1st but were pioneers and for lack of better words “non-conformist”? I’m not saying not honoring others but at the same time being true to yourself; most leaders want you to align with or “act the part” for lack of better words or they lose interest (in proximity/ intimacy) bc they say your not teachable etc and it is something I have struggled with myself bc when it’s the best option u have in the present (the church in your local area) but still wrestle within Update: I believe the Lord helped me to answer the question I had above. The problem w/ my question above is that it has an “either/ or” mentality rather than a “both/ and” mentality. I believe He wants us to learn to be balanced and without balance we cannot fully understand one without the other. We must learn to embody both. Also, I believe that society has taught us that leadership is influence but great leadership is more than just influence (just bc Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Donald Trump, etc have inspired many people and have a lot of influence doesn’t give a balanced and complete picture of what leadership looks like or it’s truth displayed among us). Though these individuals inspire me I do feel that as leaders many would say that these individuals lack certain qualities that Jesus embodied. We must also learn to see leadership etc through the lens of scripture/ Jesus rather than defined by the world.

I'd love to go to BSSM. My concerns are that 1) I won't be able to work in healthcare (I'm a nurse) because of CA's public health policies... and 2) that I'll be locked up in my dorm room for a year forced to complete my semester via Zoom.
