This is only a part of it, just like kids actors she too is getting too old for the image. Which is why switch ups like this happen to desperately stay relevant, to somehow keep the click bait up. A PR nightmare is what she did since it's done so badly it hurt the entire image instead of only distracting. But at the same time it was also a success since even bad publicity is publicity

Kenji is right about the writers thing. A lot of popular artists from all genres don’t write their own songs. Also, the people who make the beats for songs are also credited as writers too

I don’t know if they said this in the video but when they’re composing or writing lyrics to a song, there’s another way for artist to get put down as a writer without actually doing anything and that’s when they’re just sitting in the room during the process or making of a song. Anyone who’s in the room while that’s happening is credited as a writer. So, the fact that they changed one word and change the beat a little bit And if she was in a room when it happened, she has free rein to say she’s a writer.

From my knowledge it’s pretty common in kpop where the label gets the rights to a song that has already been released then puts their own twist to it…for example “Next Level” by aespa was originally a song from a fast & furious soundtrack but SM entertainment got the rights and it was then given to aespa

I thihnk one of the reasons people are so upset about her "stealing" the songs is that while buying the song off other artists is normal although not talked about often, it was more of being upset that Jojo was very adamant online about how she wanted to write her own music about her own experiences and how tough the writing process was, but she played no part in it.

Bruh most of the lyrics and message of the song of Bts are done by RM. It’s already known and even you can listen the demos of those songwriters and all those songs are about break up or some typical stuff. Like the whole paradise song concept and lyrics came from the rappers , and it was about like a s song ( said by the producer himself ) Same with ON, it was about another stuff. And totally different , it didn’t had the live drums and whole choir. Ofc it wasn’t called ON. Also sometimes it’s the opposite and the demos come from the members themselves , like fake love came from RMs demos which was lower pitch. Also none track of Bts gets mastering after the RMs review of it. Which is something everyone in big hit including their CEO had said.

People are hard on her because she claimed to be the inventor of something when she wasn't born. She plays OTHER artist's songs with THEIR vocals, claiming it at her own like sing it first and then play it, why use someone else's vocals. She can't sing, just go watch her try to sing songs in her car. She has a dance crew of little girls to which she mistreats. Everyone around doesn't actually care about her, they just see cash signs. Is it fair to be tough on her? Yes, don't claim to be someone you're not. Make your own music with your writers, then you find your own art style. Copying others will only damage you.

BIGGEST ARTIST EVER had written song for them. xD Also about the pitching songs. Hi, it's 100% known that a vast majority of singers have their song written and produced by other people whom is the job to do so. I don't see a particular problem with it, especially in K-pop since they have to also dance to perform their songs. But Kenji didn't chose the best K-pop group for this 😅He probably didn't know because he's not an active fan of them yet, but Stray kids are writting, composing and arranging 90% of their songs. You can check in the credits of all their songs, you'll see 3Racha (name of the 3 members that produce the songs ; Bang Chan, Changbin and Han). They also have videos called "intro" for each of their album to talk about the creative process behind the songs and also snippets of recording sessions leading by themselves. They also share their creative process in lives when people ask them. 🙂

First off, there is a HUGE difference between having something written for you, and working WITH a writer on your song. El Capitxn didnt write daechwita for suga, he was a co writer on the song WITH suga. I just wanted to clear that up, of course its not wrong to have songs written, but Agust D, RM, and J hope are always primary writers on every solo project they work on and that is important to note :)

Yeah but his point is people shouldn't be offended about having other producers or writers making a song for an artist. Although yes, some artists do their own writing and producing their own music but sometimes the artist themselves or the label needs to bring in other people to make a good song. It's an industry standard and it's a job. Sometimes you need more than the artist to make a bop song cause you're going to need other people's artistry, talent and opinion. He's not discrediting them, he's just annoyed how people get so offensive about having other people make their favorite artists' music when again it's an industry standard and job for everyone in the music industry.

To be honest i totally get the music industry standers of having writers/remakes of old songs, makes sense when youre a big artist or group and you dont necessarily have writing skills or even the time to do your own work. But my thing that ALWAYS feels scummy is how a lot of the time writers or the original artists of thoese songs are never really showcased or celebrated for their work and just get thrown behind the scenes when they do so much work that these performers and singers build off of. Off topic and like a vauge example Im someone who does artwork like painting and digital art and there is this other standers when you use a base or a specific refrence or you are doing a remake of an artwork its just standerd to credit the original, thats why tracing is so frowned apon and giving credit is a really big standered. So in a way when music artists like Jojo remake old songs or have songs written for them and then lack that trancparency of who originally did/wrote it until they are called out for it, it feels scummy, like they're "tracing" over the original work if that makes any sense.

I think your a bangchan bias but what your saying is. 1. Bangchan is the only one getting credit. 2. What kenji is saying is okay but what he is doing can actually get him in trouble. 3. 3 racha all together has about 300 creditable songs and they make money out of it. 4. 3 racha if you did not know was made in 2017 and they made there own song's then. 5. Stray kids in the koreas copyright music are the only ones with 3 memebers with 100+ songs they made.
