Yeah most of the Marcel movies are like same When the winter Soldier achieved success Black widow copied it Captain Marvel was so bland Thor Ragnarok was very good but humor was just too much Iron man 2 and 3 are totally wasted potential. Gotg 2 was Kinda same as gotg1 Thor 2 umm it was really something Different but it was meh And marvel realised that humor big action set pieces and cgi is the only thing that can give them profit . So now they are copying and pasting everything. Now let's talk about DC It tries something new and it succeeds and it fails . Joker had no big set pieces or CGI and it made 1 billion Man of stell was totally different and the reason it under performed was because mcu was at the peak then and no humor in mos made people not like it

Christopher Nolan even left WB when he realised his next movie would get simultaneous web release as he is not big fan of Digital platform movies. Where Scorsese, Villeneuve & Fincher was ready to get their film into digital release or simultaneously streaming on ott platforms. The last reason I love Nolan more than rest of them ( not a dislike to other directors I also love their movies). And to this topic I just wanna say, a true film lover treats films in it's own style or genre. I love artistic, award movies and also entertaining adventure, full on action movies. MCU movies succeeded in enjoying and entertaining viewers, what more do we expect from a Comic book based live action franchise. Just because there is legendary comic book based live action movie "Batman trilogy" with amazing story, character, drama and artistic level of making doesn't mean MCU is shit. I love both of them and treats the amount of respect they equally deserve. I know Batman Trilogy is bigger than MCU but at the end threw away this comparison and just enjoy what you like. Not just MCU but also other comic book based movies and series managed to entertain me better in a cinematic way and comic adopted way. And reply to Villeneuve, MCU movies are not cut and paste, actually Hollywood and rest of the world's film industries are trying to build a franchise like MCU and even saying this franchise as an example of most successful film series. Scorsese said MCU is not a true cinema can be agreed at some level but not Cut & Paste, moving away from the big CGI fights it has emotions, drama and characters that conveys clearly to the audience. *sorry if I mistakenly spell any name or anything.

What Scorcese is trying to say probably lies as an answer in the feeling of Catharsis as stated by Aristotle. When a person devours an art from (cinema,painting,music) of conventional sense,he usually appreciates the minute nuances in the screen play and its thematic approach (consciously or unconsciously wrt their awareness). Let's say in the movie Godfather,Taxi Driver or Good Fellas, I get a sense of rediscovering some of my repressed emotions(anger,hatred,lust,a drive,sentiment,over ambitions,being able to draw certain similarities to the real world we live in) or maybe release them (uncounsuoisly) and get a sense of relief. However when I watched an Avangers Endgame(I'm a 17 yr old Marvel Fan) though I thoroughly enjoyed it, I just felt an instant spike in dopamine that didn't really have a long lasting impact or influence. But hold on..I might probably be facing a cognitive bias rn(due to the influence of this video) and hence coming to this conclusion. I'll re-watch Endgame and maybe the Taxi Driver and come back to see if my above statements is in contradiction to what I'm feeling then. But one thing is certainly true..there ain't any tension between the build up to an action sequence in Marvel Movies. EDIT: 1/1/22 ; I 100% standby what I stated in the above comment. Marvel makes the best popcorn movie though.

'Don't look up' a big movie with outstanding cast like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blancett etc is going to hit the theaters and people are only excited for No way home. I understand the hype but tbh Marvel is overtaking content based movies and that's what pisses off those directors, they work really hard and make a movie with great plot and everything just to be overshadowed by overhyped superhero movie. Not all of them are wrong. I am a big marvel fan and really hyped for the upcoming movies but I totally agree with Oscar's decision to prefer content based movies over MCU, they're keeping those gems alive. MCU films are really good in the superhero genre....that is their aim...to entertain people and they did that really nicely....no one expects a marvel film to be something different from entertainment.. So yes marvel films are overrated and overhyped...but they are not "bad"...they have decent storylines, awesome graphics, a great platform for many emerging actors.... Btw...They shouldn't be compared with classics...that's a completely different genre
