Not trying to be negative at all but not going to lie, I always cringe when I hear people say this because I believe beauty is subjective. Yes, having vibrant energy makes you more likable as people are getting to know you, but the simple fact is that getting attention and attracting strangers only happens instantly if you're hot. If a waitress is average-looking or worse, even if she has high energy, no one is going to specifically request her or tell her she "cast a spell" on them. Liz is hot and charming (her charm also stems from being hot and an acute self-awareness of being hot), and therefore people are more willing to overlook what comes off as aloofness/assertiveness/self-centeredness. It's simple. Her being hot + seeming emotionally unavailable automatically makes her a high-value chase, hence the "obsession" (which honestly seems like the wrong word to use; I think "attraction" is more appropriate). ----- *Edit* -- Coming back to clarify a couple of things: 1) I'm not saying that people will ONLY treat you well if you're hot. 2) I'm not saying that anyone who isn't hot has less inherent value than a hot person - I was speaking of subjective value when it comes to attraction. 3) I'm not saying that having charisma or a good personality doesn't matter. Of COURSE it matters. 4) People seem to be interpreting what I said as me being hateful, and I would urge you to stop seeing anything that isn't fawning praise as an attack. I subscribe to this channel like the rest of you, I like the content for the most part, and it's fair for me to comment on it. There are exceptions to every rule. Some people are going to have an anecdote about how they used to be ugly, but tons of people still treated them nicely because they had a great personality. I agree that's how it should be. Liz talked about people being instantly attracted to/charmed by her. This is what I was speaking about. Strangers will only do this if a person is distracting to them, for better or worse. In Liz's case, it was probably because she's extremely beautiful. Being physically beautiful is like having really high quality bait & fancy lures when fishing. No, you don't necessarily need it, but it really helps. My point is that yes, keep a positive mindset and keep working on yourself like Liz advises, but also, keep in mind the other factors that contribute to the success of someone who looks like her! Ask yourself, if Liz was American, morbidly obese, had zits all over her face, buzz-cut hair, thin lips, and frumpy clothes, would you still religiously watch this channel? Would you have even found it in the first place?

The self love to narcissistic tendencies pipeline is very real and one many people today have trouble navigating. I think too many people confuse both…self confidence comes from within, not externally such as compliments from others. It’s being secure and assertive with your actions, thoughts, and emotions. I’m not a beauty but I’ve had people with severe identity issues try to emulate “me” down to mannerisms, clothes, the way I talked, etc., because they simply have no idea who they are and choose not to explore themselves for themselves. Yes, there is a difference between taking inspiration from others and straight up trying to become someone’s doppelgänger. Many people in this world hide who they really wish to be. Self confidence isn’t being the best in the room, being the most beautiful, intelligent, etc., because the truth is there is someone out there who is better without trying. It’s being comfortable with who you are (as stated above) and not needing other’s approvals to live your life as you please. It’s a bittersweet realization.

I have conflicted feelings about this… l mean, I agree with the majority of the things she said but there is something off about her that ironically didn’t gave me “high energy vibes”. In one part of the video she said that she would never be in a toxic relationship because she will be with a person that is obsess with her. So she is telling me that while she has the gratification of be adored by her partner because he would be obsessed with her, her boyfriend on the other hand won’t have that adoration in return because she can only adore herself and she won’t obsess about anyone else.. other than herself? I feel that this is unfair for her partners and creates an unbalanced relationship that ironically seems toxic. And also the part that she said that she would cancel on a date just because she wanted to and didn’t care for other person’s feelings just gave me huge red flags. Would she like it if the roles were reversed? That she was ready for a date and her boyfriend decided to cancel in the last minute because he just wanted time for himself? I don’t think so, considering how much she values her time… are other people’s times don’t as valuable? Again, I agree with a lot of what she said and I will stay with that. She seems like she is happy with herself I guess that’s what matters in the end. But I feel that being too self centered is not healthy, this is the first video I saw about her and I didn’t felt attracted to her energy at all. One can be confident and humble at the same time and I think she lacks the latter. She will keep achieving big things, that’s for sure, but I don’t think she will ever have a genuine and deep connection with someone with her fixed mentality

Look, I think it's good that you pointed this out. You are right about the psychology underneath those statements and I love the fact that you somehow tried to light those little bubbles for her to know what else is there to polish. But. She is not a "finite journey". She is still on the go. Acknowledge that too, please. We still have to face a lot of trials and errors until we polish ourselves enough so we can shine our authentic sparkle properly. She says in this or another video that she still goes to therapy and she's building herself up. Humbleness requires a little bit of maturity. And a lot of understanding. A little bit of consideration that the other parts must be valuable in her interactions too. She's at the stage of a little bit of extremity towards the self-centeredness. But in the long run, this tactic also doesn't bring the most satisfaction and the optimum healthy environment. But I mean, we can all understand her. She's been hurt enough. Right now, she's recovering. But she'll be better in time, like old fine wine. She'll get the balance of fine, harmonious living and she'll understand. I totally support her and love the courage she must have for posting videos and trying to uplift us whatever her progress might be in life. Also, she has good intentions overall.

Keep focusing on the inside, that way when you are in your 50s, you definitely will not care about being noticed and more concerned with making others feel great. Its hard for the mind but what she's saying is basically love yourself first before trying to love others. You are the 1st place in your life and that way of thinking is really goals because no matter what other people say or do to you, if you truly trust yourself, you'll learn from stuff and walk away from bad energy. If you still struggle, you will only blame yourself and thats bad... Now I don’t do that and people are so obsessed with me. It honestly scared me at first but now I’m like well if you wanna do that you can, it’s not my business. If I don’t like you and you don’t benefit me anyway then I don’t want you in my life. I don’t have free time to waste. How I am right now took me years of pain and lessons. i think it's important to know that being a physically attractive person is proven to open more avenues for you than being a non attractive person, no matter how outgoing you are. some unattractive people may have a better shot by being charismatic and outgoing, so it's always good to take care of yourself and be your best anyway. as a disabled person who uses a wheelchair, i've always had to deal with stereotypes ever since i was a young child of people saying that i'm too "different" or too needy to be in a relationship with. no amount of being "confident" has suddenly made these people see me as a potential partner. however, if you lower your expectations for what you set your happiness on, your quality of life becomes better. being desperate is not only unattractive but also unhealthy. it will make your life miserable if you tell yourself every day that you're hopeless. that's why it's good to find joy in the unconventional things in life and to put your best self forward. after giving up on conventional methods of dating, i met my current boyfriend and have been with him for over five years. he's my best friend and sees the world the same way i do. sometimes you realize that there's nothing wrong with what you want. sometimes there's something just wrong with what you're doing to get it.

To everyone saying “well of course people obsess with you, you’re beautiful.” Yes to some degree it’s true. But also not. I’m not someone who fits traditional beauty standards (and I was honestly not pretty growing up). However, one day I decided that I am hot, I am now my beauty standard and I am attractive. Everything changed, I physically started looking better. People always treat me kindly and are attracted to my energy. This is not to flex but to point out that, It’s up to you. Your energy, how you walk into a room, your self concept is what makes people attracted to you. You can also literally manifest your looks. You can manifest being attractive. You really can.
@raidexe2 жыл бұрын

I agree. I became attractive once I convinced myself that I am. When I was this shy kid, hiding my face and being all awkward no one complimented me. And once I was like "you know what, no, I'm hot just the way I am despite my "flaws" " I started to feel better and the confidence reflected on the outside and people would literally compliment me all the time randomly. I'm a shorter guy, but after I became more confident some girls assumed I'm way taller than I am, I'm not even joking. It was very strange. Like "How tall are you, around 180?" and I was like "Bruh I'm 173 what are you on, you're like an inch shorter than me." But it's important to be humble because in the end of the day no one is "better" than anyone else. We're different; be humble without pushing yourself down or too high. And work with the good features you have, work-out, sleep, take care of your skin (less is more!) but that's it. edit: I had heavy body dysmorphia as well for multiple months but I REALLY worked on it, features I now find the hottest were before my biggest insecurity

i feel like she's underestimating the role of her physical attractiveness lol
@tikusblue2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. She fits into all the modern beauty trends. Many people nowadays are insecure & self esteem, and worship people with a certain look. They think that if they look like Kylie Jenner, or this woman that their life would somehow be infinitely better or more magical. They want a taste of that life. And these types of people who are very insecure and a bit distant from reality/out of touch/shallow are the same exact type who easily become obsessive.
@tikusblue2 жыл бұрын
It's also interesting that she chooses to befriend and date those people. Either she has a hard time identifying these type of people or part of her is drawn to having this dynamic and enjoys being worshipped by people with a lower self esteem
@Neil-Aspinall2 жыл бұрын
Yes she is quite delusional when it comes to that.
@devonwilks2 жыл бұрын
@@Neil-Aspinall agreed. she recognizes that men and women are *somehow* infatuated with her due to some rare conglomeration of personable attributes and social intelligence, which of course could be a matter of fact on many levels, she surely seems very pleasant, but it's devoid of reality to not consider the influence of physical attribution in attraction, and she inarguably has perfectly proportional facial features and beauty that exactly aligns with that of the pinacle of western beauty; that surely has to do with why someone might possibly become infatuated with her, especially if they are sexually attracted to women and especially if they haven't had much interaction beyond the superficial, for example a customer interacting with her in a workplace setting.
@devonwilks2 жыл бұрын
pretty privilege is a real thing. i think it's very outside of reality and context that someone who is objectively very pretty is stating that anyone can be attractive and an object of one's obsession by simply being able to attain certain personality traits, when objective beauty is likely an overarching mechanism in which attracts many people to her?
@Zerosk882 жыл бұрын
It’s so fascinating hearing other people explain their thoughts. Maybe it’s because she’s pretty and confident? Some people just feel weird hearing some express their inner monologue. I’d rather people not be obsessed with me and I probably do a good job at that. Genuine friends is what I would like, but people who are genuine and have solid understanding is hard to come by.

you're just beautiful, that's it. The first part of the video explained it all. You attract people first thank to your appearance. Your tips don't work on average/below average girls. It is not your energy, you literally told in the very beginning of the video that you work behind the bar and you think your energy is what attracts those men when they enter the bar? Yeah,no. Of course you may be a great person to be around energy-wise, but they don't know you personality when entering the bar, they see your model-like face.
@l3lackbAI2l3e2 жыл бұрын
i actually disagree because although yes beauty brings someone in, it will not keep someone for long her personality that they experienced after seeing her is what kept them there. personally from what people say about me im not “so beautiful” and crazy gorgeous but people still gravitate to me despite what many say on how i look
@ThePhotoshopExpress2 жыл бұрын
@@l3lackbAI2l3e you missed the point here. It’s what I keep saying to warn people , she’s not a narc but she has huge tendencies , and indeed if she was condescending on weak people they might develop an unhealthy obsession. People can at the same time be jealous of you and hate you but still stick around for your looks and energy and for taking advantage of someone. No matter how beautiful, it's not only looks that attract people. People can sense energy, especially if it's good energy, giving, positive, healing. If a good person is attracted to you, they won't be jealous and try to use you. It's the bad, narcissistic ans selfish people that act like they like you for who you are, beautiful and genuinely good, but still stick around to use you, for whatever they need. So Liz, you're completely right! I love to see a good and beautiful person. Just being beautiful doesn't make someone a bad person, pretty privilege isn't the main thing if you're a decent person. Many of confident and pretty girls have the worst personality and it shows actually so never judge by the looks.
