Coppersan you forgot one thing, the class in itself plays extremely forgiving. If you mess up stacks you can immediately get more through one attack, get max stacks through styx crossing attack or even increase stacks to 10 and get immediately 10 of them. if you do some spells in the wrong order that's also not the biggest problem as we have a couple buttons to press for burst, but not an insane amount. The mistakes, if there, aren't that impactful to your gameplay and I think that is also a big reason why a lot of newer players -or returning players from years ago like myself- play this class to sort of easily catch up. I'm going to be totally honest, I have a wind archer boss mule because the emerald decoy carries the entire fight, allowing me to just sit back and hold one button while spamming tornadoes. I joined a CRA struggle at 210 and we could all freely dps while the boss was focused on the dummy crystal. The easy success led to the party enthusiastically sticking together for HMag, Czak, CVel & Cpb - all thanks to the WA's decoy skill.

@@channingtaintum Oh for sure, the WA decoy makes it almost a braindead must have pick for bossing mules. I've just started on my own WA, I bonked it to 215 all the way from 180 so it's got shit gear but I can still clear loads of bosses easily just because of the decoy. I love it :D

As a DW main in JMS, I can confirm that the number of DWs after ignition update did increase a lot as well. Easy to play, no complex inputs, but deals a lot of damage. I think DW became a good beginner class for new Maplestory players.

I know it’s not the only reason but I feel like blaze wizard suffers from just always being known as weak even though ignition introduced a lot of good QoL for BW it’s not to the same degree as NW or DW. I believe the BW discord tested and our dmg was the same so that doesn’t help.

The blaze wizrd's fireballs are literally balls. bad hitbox, bad dmg, lazy and slow... Not the best. It's like a Demon Avenger but without losing HP. Which means = Sucks.

DW is lit, easy grinding and easy bossing. 2 I-frames and a personal bind, it’s a great 220-250 mule considering nodes and play style. They are safe for at least 6months from nerfs but I’m sure they’ll be toned down a bit in the future, but regardless a great class.

I played DW for a while, I can tell that the aesthetics of the class is one of the reasons I still play this character. Post 5th job (pre-ignition) training was fairly easy but with ignition it is too easy to train. Overall, the character is well balanced and like in all of the comments mentioned... There is really no downside of the class. People hated this class because it was ping reliant (Never really experienced this so it could be different for others). Most definitely a class I'd recommend to a beginner who is starting their Maple journey. What I love about the ignition is he gets ANOTHER (which makes him pretty OP for having about 2 skills that can trigger s twice). - Two skills are: Soul Eclipse and Blazing Assault/Luster Charge

Maybe it's my personal bias but leveling a blaze wizard they don't really play fluidly until 5th job and that's a big time investment for newer players or people who are kind of willing to give the class a try, but fizzle out because it takes so long to get decent :( same with battle mage as coppersan said couple videos ago

I just comeback around late Dec and was switching my main from Adele to DW because of one thing. The simplicity. Right now, I dont have enough free time to learn the mechanic of more complex classes. Growing up is a pain man…. And also the 5th job for DW is one of the best for me. I felt like it really do a lot of thing and I can feel it work not just big hit and gone for 180sec something like that.

How does DW compare to paladin? Aside the obvious of paladin being tankier but with, I guess, bit less damage. Like, in terms of ease of bossing, mobbing and funding. I am wondering which one to play, as I love DW, but I also want to try a class that can facetank oneshots for once, but I'm also too lazy to learn complicated classes that need to manage a lot of skills like cadena, or just stupid difficult like blaster. I swear I tried to cancel animations, but I could never pull it off.

I was a 258 DW who just broke 20k stat when ignition hit, I played it for like an hour after the update and I just dont like it at all. Not really sure why but it just feels meh to me now like dmg is there and everythings great but to me its just boring. Ive got 8.6k legion and now its back to the drawing board for a main -_-.

Maplestory(dot)GG shows player population for all classes in GMS throughout different sever, you can gauge the popularity yourself. People do play Bishop, it's not popular like Kanna/Adele/NL/DW popular but it's within top 10 if you sort by lvl 245+. You either see people playing a sub lvl 210 Bishop mule afk-ing at Vanishing, or a lvl 250+ Bishop main, there are no in between. Bishop is one of the most sort after class and core party member for late game bossing content because of Resurrection, but the class itself was really boring to play until the recent Destiny revamp. It's less boring, but it didn't affect play rate significantly. Some people main it because you essentially get free carries if you know the mechanics well enough to survive well, and good Bishop mains who have damage+mechanics down gets money thrown at them to join boss parties. Some class dramatically increase in population as the level climbs, Bishop is one of them.

Bad bossing mobility if you're looking for anything past lomien maybe? It really doesn't have anything terribly useful for making will/gloom/hlotus p3 any easier. Bad mobbing once you start getting to higher spawn count maps as well. Maybe I'm terribly wrong, but that's my view on it as a midgamer at hlomien solo lvl.

Most bosses save a few non-kms ones resist every element, so reduce elemental resistance by 10% is an up to 10% FD boost for everyone in the party (in practice slightly less than 10% due to Insight trait granting the same bonus depending on its level, and a bit less still for classes that have their own -elemental resistance skills like explorer mages)

DW main, physical is counted as an element type. So ignore elemental resist increases damage for all party members. Similar to the 5% you get from insight trait.

This class isn’t broken just easy to play issue with the class is that it’s a great bossing mule for baby bosses but when it comes to stronger big boy bosses it is mediocre reason why this class isn’t nerf yet other classes like Hero F/P, NW require some nerf they are insane in clear time for bigger bosses

@@henrryma8460 yea it make sense, but u nid consider FP dun have much survivability like NL. When kms burst NL, its not really a big issue considering Nl dun have any . For me risky class deserve better dps or burst. Means while hero have 25sec cd with insane burst.
