CREATOR'S NOTE: I don't think I articulated my final point very well. I don't mean to dismiss voting with your wallet as pointless, I think that it's often a necessary personal stance to take in this kind of situation, but I don't think that the way that EA has been exploiting the nature of football transfers over the years should be ignored. There's a general stigma against "Sportsball" players that we deserve to have the same rubbish every year because we keep buying it which I think is unfair. As I said in the video it's natural for us to want to play with the latest teams and players and EA knows this which is part of the reason they can get away with such minimal updates to their games. What I guess I'm trying to say is that, yes, giving them money year after year does not help and perhaps it's time for a boycott, but that fact that doing such a thing is necessary goes to show what kind of a shitfuck of a company that EA is.

I dunno, something just feels really OFF with Fifa 20. The players feel unresponsive and sluggish to control, crossing is an absolute crapshoot where 9 times out of 10 your player will head the ball in a completely random direction for seemingly no reason what so ever, and trying to play defensively just doesn't really work most of the time because your players all suffer from down syndrome and can't stop a simple pass straight through the middle when they are standing literally 2 feet away from the ball.

This actually my first FIFA and it’s really enjoyable at its core. The problem is the lack of extra content outside the gameplay. VOLTA is good, but repetitive. Career mode isn’t bad I like it. And Ultimate Team is also fun, but lacks content. I play Madden and they have historical challenges for rewards. Like for example you had all 32 NFL teams, and you had to complete each historic moment for each team. After each team you got a legend which was 88+, and then if you completed them all you got to pick a 95+ Overall player. And it took like 2 or 3 months to finish but in return, I got a 91 overall ultimate team all for free without buying packs. Like imagine doing a Real Madrid challenge where you had to replay all 5 of Ronaldo’s UEFA Cups and in return, you got Ronaldo

As a Brazilian football fan, FIFA sucks because they don't have the licensed rosters of the Brazilian league (Brasileirão Série A) so we get generic names, and they don't do ANY effort to get them, we got the crests and uniforms but play with players with stupid names. Meanwhile PES not only has licensed the first division (Série A), but ALSO the Second Division (Série B). EA is just fucking lazy.

I bought PES this year after 4 years of playing Fifa...i had a hard time adapting to the slow gameplay as i was used to the arcade fast paced fifa. I was frustrated for a while because it was very hard to play. I regretted buying pes and stopped after a week...and then gave it a shot again, I noticed that in Pes you have to think carefully before making a pass, tackle or take a shot. Took me a while, but now that i have grasped the gameplay, it feels so realistic and scoring a goal is very rewarding because of the well thought build up play. I also like the weather change they put in there, the game starts off with no rain, then late second half it starts raining, so nice. Only Disadvantage is the same Peter Drury commentry from 4 years ago, Licensing and the horrible UI design. But on the Pitch it is perfect. I wont buy fifa until they start listening to us and make considerable changes!!!

I dont understand why Fifa players keep acting like the PES modding community doesnt exist. It takes 15 minutes to get your licences fixed if your on PC or PS4. It takes 30 minutes to add custom chants, addboards, ui and fans to the game, in PES 19 you could add about 100 community made stadiums to your game and it wont take long until that modpack is updated to Pes 2020. I know that for scoreboards, stadium changes and everything else u mentioned is only on pc the only thing u can do on ps4 os change the teams images kits and managers names. Also pes has been known to have scripting like ea which is a big no no. Other things include free kicks being to easy, people spamming the over the top through ball for easy goals and on harder difficulties in single player defenders with 13 pace catch up to 95 pace attackers beating them in speed, agility, power and perfect passing everytime.

The only FIFA game where I have seen goalkeepers (specifically AI controlled goalkeepers) behave realistically during goal kicks and after catching the ball is FIFA 15 after some slider adjustments. It is possible they also behave like this in FIFA 14 next gen and FIFA 16 as well, but I've never tested those two games to find out. Goalkeepers in other FIFA versions (old and new) seem to just kick the ball into the sky as hard as they can 99% of the time during this kind of situation, even if you mess with the sliders

Because pes is not good either, I've played both games for a long time, since 1993 for fifa, pes a few years later when it was known as iss Pro evo football. Both game are riddled with problems and the last couple of pes have been awful, suffered worst scripting than fifa where I've seen 10-0 games take place. Sadly we don't have one good football game, and unlike many years ago we don't have any other football game options, where stuck with two crap games.

I was in career mode and we were about to win the champions cup, we were up 4-0 on the opponent and my player was very tired so I requested a sub in the 80th minute thinking nothing of it. I went back to the menu expecting to see the win but no, apparently the other team scored 5 goals in 10 minutes to win the cup. And this was also in my second save. Because my first 40+ hour save was overwritten accidentally by my manager save. Now because ea doesn’t have any safeguards for saves I have to restart.

I don't know why we even try to compare FIFA with PES anymore. FIFA has become nothing more than an arcade gimmick that's really not worth buying unless you're into multiplayer like pro clubs. PES has become a full-blown simulation of the game and it's physics are absolutely amazing. Pro clubs is the only reason why I play it. I could care less about ultimate team or Volta ghetto ball whatever you want to call it. I think that what attracts so many people to FIFA is its simplicity and ease-of-use. Gamers don't want to take the time to learn how to play a real simulation like PES.

My biggest issue with the commentary is that there are still lines that are very clearly from the mid-late 2000's, and it's really off-putting going from the nice microphones they use for lines today to suddenly having the crappiest microphone they could find in Poundland put through the worst compression imaginable to squeeze it onto a PS2 disc for 3 seconds.
