Everyone has this idea that fighting games are HARD, but where does that come from and why are they harder then a shooter or MOBA? Follow the foolishness 🦆 Twitter: / chilipalad

I think fighting games have to rely more on memorization of what you can do and getting in the head of your opponent and forcing your opponent to act while say a shooter is about memorization of the map and getting the opponent by surprise

You need to know every tool in your tool box to properly execute the game plan 100%... I think the mentality of conditioning an opponent is the same as that "shooter surprise" strategy... Like when you keep playing the fire ball game only to rushdown at the very end to close out the match. It reminds me of when some one keeps rushing a path for example "nuketown" only to change it up and camp the last 1/4 of the round. ( I hope that made sense, sounded better in my head)

@Chili_P I think I understand what you're saying. Yeah, changing your gameplay at the last minute to force your opponent to act and fall into your hands is a strategy in most competitive games I feel.
