As a Nebraska fan I have no problem with Lagway being ahead of Raiola, they are both amazing recruits it can go either way. But everyone knows if Lagway was going to Nebraska, and Raiola was going to Florida, they would have it the other direction. This is a good thing for Raiola. As soon as he decides on Nebraska all of the sudden everyone started picking at him and thinking lesser of him. I hope it lights a fire under him, it can be a positive thing.

Def dj lagway is the best qb in 2024. Won almost every award if not all awards a quarterback can win. He was a beast in 6A footballl in Texas which has in the best football skill level next to Florida and literally dominated. Lagway has elite Athleticism, arm as well as the intelligence. Riaola has the elite arm and intelligence but he is just not as athletic as Lagway. Both will be great, this is a QB 1A 1B kind of situation both will get you Ws.

People saying recruiting rankings don't matter. Those same people getting upset over recruiting rankings. If you are a four star and up, you have major upside. Anything below a that is either overlooked because of school size, or they haven't flashed as much. Those guys usually go to the MAC, Mountain West, or AAC. Now the big programs can cherry pick those dudes if they miss on their five stars. So if you're a fan of a big time program, chill out.

It could be that Raiola has more upside since, as you mentioned, he moved high schools a lot, which did not allow him time to develop much continuity with any one offense or receivers. He will have all spring, summer, and fall at Nebraska to develop that.
