In all my travels across India and overseas, I feel we Indians do not know and understand how to truly enjoy life, nature and our holidays. We feel noise and crowds are enjoyable, but because our life is mostly surrounded in noise, chaos, and dust, when we go to peaceful places, like a mountain or beach, we cannot disconnect with the noise and chaos we live in daily. Have not seen any other foreign culture enjoying noise so much as us Indians. Of course, foreigners do not want to be disturbed in their holidays, and would prefer to travel to other places like South East Asia, even Sri Lanka, where the people are more peaceful and vibes are relaxed.

Cleanliness,Discipline and Safety?There are I A S officers stationed in every district in this country as Dist.Collectors,if they cant put forward effective measures for the 3 above mentioned matters,what waste junk are they studying for years? What are the Health Inspectors doing in every district other than sitting in office and collecting salary at the end of month?It is their duty to spread awareness among the street vendors to at least wear gloves,use tongs spoons fork etc while serving or handling food. They can easily inform these vendors nowadays and uphold meetings of street vendors at some public hall and give instructions to them.But they wont.

Tourists visited Maldives in 2022 : 16,00,000 Tourists visited Lakshadweep: 18,000 😢 Dubai has 4 laks population and saw 1.6 crore foreign tourists whereas india which is 60 times the size , 140 crore population abd thousands of years of history could attract only 69 lakhs😢 India needs to learn a lot about attracting tourists ( spending tourists and not backpackers) from Maldives , Dubai and Singapore. Few things I've noticed, ki we stare a lot, i know ki humare intentions kuch galat nahi hote lekin foreign mai isko creepy mana jata hai, bahut uncomfortable hota hai, second ki humare mai civic sense nil ke barabar hai, hum rules follow nahi karte, gutka puchakte rehte hai har jagah, ye bahut disgusting hai, now it becoming better with new generation, humare cities mai walkable footpath ka concept nahi hai, pure foothpath ko encroach kar dete hai, fourth point ki duniya mai hygine aur cleanliness standard bahut high hai, hume bahut catchup karna hai isme.

Hello Sarthak, I have been watching u since ur DB times and like ur work and enjoy watching u. I am from Delhi and have been posted at various locations in Rajasthan over the last 6 yrs. Ur coverage of Rajasthan has been only concentrated in the Thar desert region, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer. Rajasthan is very different at different places. Pls also show Udaipur (Mewar) which has hills, lakes, greenery and occasional rainfall around the year, then there's Shekhawati (Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Alwar belt) where urban development is more, there's Mt. Abu and Sirohi which r hill stations and some socially very backward populations reside in the areas around these places. Just like u said, I used to think of Rajasthan as a water deficient, Hot and dry state but after living at many places like Udaipur, Ajmer, Abu Road, Sikar etc I have understood that it is a very big state with lots of variations. Please try to cover those as well.

International tourist use their leave and money and want to come to India despite heat and the food being different etc. for a spiritual and cultural experience. If they wanted to hear "dichuk dichuk" songs and drink and dance there is lots of clubs and pubs in their country. They also have deserts, beach etc. Show them indian culture like dressing, dance, martial arts, bangles and add some fun elements like swings, camel ride. Boating etc.

It’s best to have different environments and different kinds of hospitality so as to cater to all kind of tourists as per their choice. But the problem is if one business model succeeds initially everyone jumps into it head first creating similar generic experience which with time gets boring.

The reason foreign tourists don't come over to India is due to government rules and regulations because government thinks that foreigners will destroy the culture or religion of India. Tourist wants to come in a place where there is freedom not somewhere when they not feel safe about. Tourist will not go to North Korea or Afghanistan just like India because it's not a safe place at all currently. That's the fact. Unfortunately foreigners who come to India only see filth, dirt and chaos everywhere. Our tourism dept has not figured out after all these years how to attract foreign tourism in an attractive way. Streets are still littered everywhere with no sight of trash cans. Maharaja Express may be a beautiful train but looking outside the window is unsightly, and unsanitary! Real tragedy when India can benefit so much from tourism.

Where I am from, We have a house just a feet away from the beach. Other than a few fishermen fishing we dont get any tourist. The beaches are super clean and there is no garbage anywhere as locals keep it clean. I dread that day sometime in the future when tourists will arrive and mess up everything. Sadly, we indians cannot keep anything clean. Its so painful to see beautiful places ruined because we are so indisciplined.

Went to Nepal recently. Didn't have high expectations, But I was pleasantly SURPRISED. Way safer even for ladies. No cat calling, teasing, etc. No judging eyes. Everyone minding their own business. Met a few foreigners, and even they said that, they would chose Nepal over India for obvious reasons.

@@paroxymal7688 That's not the point at all. No Guides were needed at all in Nepal. Very few instances, saw few guides trying to sell their services to the "foreigners" and when said no, they'd move aside politely. You need official guides, except when you plan a remote Trek on some protected/wildlife reserves. And talking about the Indian Tourist's legacy there, Indians didn't fail to disappoint. Many were on goon mode and using derogatory remarks to the locals (audacity) and creating a scene. On one instance the locals literally had to say "This is not Delhi, so keep your Delhi attitude with yourself" while the Nepali Police came intervened and arrested them.

The fact is that India is becoming more and more rich and people had started travelling ,hence every place is attractiong good number of Domestic tourists,now the thing is domestic tourists had their own preferences they want to party they had their stuff they bring children who makes too much Noise and run amock here and there shouting and hence the foreigners get fed up. But it is not entirely same for every place , ususally too Jaisalmer has less foreigners compare to Jaipur and sawaimadhopur Ranthambore, Now foreigners are also visiting Udaipur same is with domestic tourists. Lets not spread negativity . In india every other tourist destination is like this only from Mountains to sea sides, only the government can put sanctions on it.

We should also understand the view of the foreign tourist. Indians think they are people who have free money and time . But most of them just doing normal work like as and in their country they are not rich. So they have to save leave, save money to come to India. Also many not used to the heat and food. When they do all this in return they want spiritual and cultural experience. Pub and dancing they are doing every weekend. Secondly half the foreigners are women. And families spend more money than singles. So if they feel safe,more women will come.
