On the face of it, Western Africa has been struck with a coup epidemic. As just five weeks after the military junta captured power in Niger, the military in Gabon deposed President Ali Bongo Ondimba immediately after he again won the elections. But make no mistake about this. What is being witnessed in these African nations is not just a coup epidemic.
What is unfolding is a new scramble for Africa, where the old colonialist power France is being shunted out. And new players, namely Russia and China are entering the realm in a very big way.
Mohammed Saleh explores.

Thanks for this enlightening report. It's the first time I hear about the high number of "coups" of several African nations. The numbers speak for themselves.

The Americans are mulling assassinations on the junta leaders and will be moving their military out of the capital to another base hundreds of miles away. Per the Pentagon. In addition, RT said that Russia has intel that the Americans are mulling assassinations on the junta leaders.

Democracy is a myth, if you believe in democracy you'll be for a shocker; democracy is political system to comfort the poor and the marginalized,it's has nothing to do with fair and equitable distribution of resources, it's only captured in theory but not in practical that's why China reformed Communism because it can deliver to the Chinese people and their culture and traditions was captured in the Communist political system.

It was never about a democracy, this is about a family feud. this is not about a so-called military coup. This is about them replacing one Family member with amother. Maybe someone who was unhappy with him. France hand is definitely in this coup, unlike nigers. The coup and Niger was definitely about ending French exploitation and rule in the shawel region, this coup is a joke .They will only replace one family member with another family member. They need to arrest the entire family and get the looted money that this family and their predecessors and their colleagues have stolen from Gabon.

They don't teach Africans their own full history, this is to ensure that Africa stays backward and poor due to not being able to learn from their past mistakes because they don't know their past mistakes, lol. It's the oldest trick in the colonial book, I've heard of many West Africans not even knowing about the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, that's like an American not knowing about the American civil or revolutionary wars!!!

France on the economic level has practically nothing to lose in these coups. Indeed, the trade of France with Sub-Saharan Africa represents only 2% of the total external trade of France! Where France has to prerdre, it is on the military level, because its withdrawal from these countries paralyzes its action against Islamic groups in the Sahel. In the end, as is often the case in this type of conflict, those who have the most to lose are the people of the Sahel who will lose military protection and associated humanitarian aid.
