This comment does not apply to London. London is actually like where Paris, where immigrant populations who play street football all the time and like France most of England's most skilful players come from London due to this culture of street football. That is why when England became the first nation in the history of football to win U20 and U17 World Cups and U19 Euros at the same time, 80% of squads where Black players from London. It looks weird how the number Black players dramatically decreases when you move from the youth England team to the senior England team. I don't think England is ready to accept a most black England team like France and you can see this bias in selection white players and the abuse the Black players got when England lost the Euros final. Banlieu. In the US, some call it the “project” or SLUMS. This creates a class division. Without proper investment, poor people work at poor jobs. Why not poor people get a better education? Isn’t that going to help the country? The US has a similar structure when it comes to basketball. Every school has a basketball gym and courts because they are smaller, so it can fit in a grid high dense cities. You can fit at least 10 full size basketball courts in a football pitch. Play a 5v5. That’s a total of 100 kids playing basketball. So, if you have 100 schools, each with a football pitch, then that’s a total of 10k kids playing basketball. We love to watch high school basketball. Watch them grow, pick their own college, watch NCAA basketball, watch them get drafted to the NBA where the average height is 6’6. Same formula for American football. We have high school American football and NCAA football. Watch them get drafted to the NFL. That’s why America has a Basketball and American football culture. As of this season, NBA is celebrating their 75th anniversary and NFL already celebrated their 100th anniversary. That’s a long history, knowing America 75 to 100 years ago, America wasn’t in a great place. I’m not going to bring politics into this. That’s why majority of American kids would rather choose between Basketball or American football.
