The Louisiana Purchase encompassed 530,000,000 acres of territory in North America that the United States purchased from France in 1803 for $15 million. Battle of Plassey:23rd june 1757.This war was fought between the british forces led by Robert clive and the nawab of bengal siraj-ud-daluah.this war was fought due to the negligence of british towards paying taxes .the company used to trade in Bengal without any restrictions and imposition of taxes . This angered the nawab of bengal and he attacked the British and confiscated their factories and fortifications.As a response, british decided to wage war against the nawab.A number of reasons contributed to the defeat of the nawab in the battle. 1.the richest banker of Bengal of that time,Jagat seth did not support him.he wanted the throne of bengal for himself. 2.His millatry commander Mir Jafar compromised with the british that if he helps the company , he would get the throne of bengal after the deposition of siraj -ud-daulah. I am a Std 9 student and love history because of you sir. Please make series on cold war.🙏🙏☺️☺️

Nice video. As a Yank, I want to add a few things: 1. One of the reasons why Napoleon was willing to sell the entirety of the Louisiana territory was because the British had naval supremacy over the Atlantic Ocean. He could not effectively send supplies or troops to his overseas possessions. 2. While most Americans were happy with the purchase, the American Ambassadors were supposed to consult with Congress (US Parliament) on the offering under normal protocol. Many political parties existed at this time in the US and their Congressmen (US MPs) did not like feeling bypassed in the decision making nor giving their political rivals credit for such a great deal.
