And what about intersex people who have both sets of genitals or neither, or extra chromosomes, or don't identify fully with the binary of male and female (i.e. men are tough and macho, women are delicate and emotional)? Do they not count, or should they be forced to live according to what society or the scriptures as interpreted by men say is acceptable, even though it would be living a lie to them? And if it is a result of fallen mankind, well, there are people who are disabled because we live in a fallen world. Should we not accept them, or insist they get better before they're accepted in? After all, in the OT, nobody who was disabled was allowed to be a priest and minister to the Lord. Those with leprosy were cast outside of the camp. Yet Jesus went out to them and touched them. I think that's what I'm saying. You can think that the LGBTQIA+ community are in error and need God - we all do, but they shouldn't be counted as the "enemy" who needs to be neutralized lest they corrupt the purity of the church. I just find the language of this video (the "gay doctrine" must be destroyed) to be disturbing. Yes, preach the gospel but don't treat them like they're sinister agents of Satan who need to be taken out before they take us out or something like that. Please be mindful of your rhetoric!

When the the proper Biblical hermeneutic is applied, one discovers the correct interpretation no more forbids women preachers in the church than does the succeeding chapter require bishops and deacons to be married. When one looks at location, essence, genre, author, context and years - application of correct biblical hermeneutic - the Bible does not forbid women from preaching. Or are you suggesting the HOLY SPIRIT gives some gifts based on gender? The reason we have the LGBTQ+ issues in the church today is that Christians largely abandoned the biblical teaching on marriage in the 1960s and 70s. No fault divorce and remarriage is barely mentioned in the church. Couples shacking up are common. It is rare to hear a sermon on either topic. When you let those principles reign in the church, we have the proverbial "beam" in our eye, and so we cannot see clearly to call people to repentance of ALL sexual sin.

Praise the Lord! I needed this message today to help me confirm some things that I’m going through with my mothers church here in Nashville called Mt. Zion Baptist Church led by Bishop Joseph Walker. I couldn’t but notice some questionable practices going on there. For example female Pastors, among other things. The word tells us to test the spirits and the way my mom was describing a man and woman’s role in a Christian household didn’t align with the word of God. Jesus said (Luke 9:23) “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me”. He also says the first commandment is to love God with all of your heart, all of your soul and all of your mind. In other words we must fully focus on Him. For a Christian to identify first as Gay means they have not died to self and their minds are still, to some extent, focussing on their sexuality, rather than fully on God. They are still dividing their attention partly onto themselves. How can this be regarded as “denying themselves”. Nobody would identify as a “Heterosexual Christian” or a “Disabled Christian” they are simply “Christians”. One should never promote any aspect of oneself when when confessing Jesus. Christianity is all about Jesus and how He is the path to His Father, who is then “our Father”. A while ago I saw an item about astronomy, on a morning TV show. A young man was asked about how he had been given access to use one of the worlds greatest telescopes. He started off his reply with the words “As a gay astronomer”. I was aghast. What has his sexuality got to do with studying the universe through a telescope? I assume he was more interested in presenting himself as homosexual, rather than as someone who might have something to offer the science of astronomy. This is how I also think of people who present themselves as Gay Christians.

The "image of God" doesn't mean we take gender or sex from God. Rather, it means we have a rational, immortal soul. We have self-awareness. We have moral capacity. We are not slaves to the laws of our biology. We have the laws of God written on our hearts. God is Spirit, and at the time of Creation, Jesus had not yet become incarnate in a human body. Therefore, anyone who makes the argument that God is intersex clearly hasn't read or understood the Scriptures.
