The outcome of the Vietnam War was heavily influenced by the images of war. But the ability to project in the 1960s is primitive compared to the present. My daughter has two children under 3. I never felt English. As someone of Ghanaian and English heritage, I never felt English, but I did feel British. I was totally versed in British and Western hypocrisy, but the veil of pretence made me still value the British publics' values. As this horror isopenly carried out, endorsed by mainstream political parties and media, I no longer feel British. I don't want to live here. I don't want to live in the west. I've come to hate this country and everything it stands for.
