Why Gen 4 Pokemon Is PEAK!

I've wanted to make a video on the gen 4 pokemon games for a while now and I decided to be a bit experimental with this video by focusing more on what I personally did and didn't like about these games as well as some of my personal stories with these games instead of talking about the development and what lead up to these games release so please let me know if I should make more videos like this or stick to a similar style i've used in my previous uploads. And also thank you heaps for all of the recent support and new subs even though I haven't been able to do much recently since i just moved my setup into a new area. It means the world to me! 💞

Though gen 2 is my favorite, I agree it peaked with gen 4. Especially with HeartGold and SoulSilver. Since then, Pokémon and Game Freak just lost that magic for lack of a better term

Seeing that pristine DS at the beginning of the video is so nostalgic. You can’t find them ANYWHERE. If you wanna by a DS system second hand it’s always a 3ds variant. And it’s usually the upright wedge form. I miss the DS so much. That was easily the most fun Nintendo product.

I'm gonna have to disagree fam. People praise Gen 4 but seemingly forget the shitshow D&P is. I feel like the only reason why Platinum feels like a good game is because Diamond and Pearl were horrendous. I mean seriously. You need so many HMS just to get through a mountain. The fog, mud, snow the slow ticks. The SLOOWWWW is just annoying. The characters arent that great or memorable. For some reason nearly half of the new pokemon are post game which results in only ONE fire type except Chimchar. Platinum fixed some of these issues yes, but the issue still lies as the games are still quite slow. Im glad they fixed how slow surf is but the mechanics still arent better, some of the pokemon are still unavailable and its great.

Gen 4 sucks ass and every argument in its favor is either "distorted world" or "Cynthia" because the actual region and mon variety is abysmal. Hoen has a more varied environment in the first quarter of the game compared to the entirety of Sinnoh and the only reason why it's highly regarded is that its zoomers first pokemon game

Diamond/Pearl weren't that good to me but Platinum really saved Sinnoh. The slowness of Diamond/Pearl & a very limited roster were horrible. Fire types in particular suffered not to mention new evolutions & most Pokemon were post-game. Real shame that Nintendo is so against emulation/rom-hacks, unless they're doing & profiting from it, for old games as they really are a great way to improve/enjoy old games.
