I'm a millennial. I think some of the main causes are: 1) the females are exposed to makeup products younger than we were; 2) they get a lot less sleep than we used to at their age- they are always occupied with their screens, the schools in my country give a lot more assignments than in my school days and many of their parents didn't give them bedtimes and they're free to sleep or not sleep; 3) as children, they got a lot less exercise and movement, which is good for overall health; 4) poorer air quality due to urbanization, carbon emissions, etc.; 5) greater and easier access to fast-food and other junk. Poor babies have been dealt a bad hand.

@@KimberWaul totally agree with 3, 4, and 5. Personally, I started using makeup when I was like 11 or 12 🤦🏽♀My school was absolutely brutal (STEM focused) + I also did music school (violin + piano), so I was basically studying 12-15 hours a day. But, I agree that kids these days (👵🏽😆) are probably getting less sleep 'cause everyone's glued to their phones.

I’m 35 and we only wear make up during special occasion and gen Z wear make up everyday😂 they often eat fries , fast food and drink a lot of milk tea.
@KimberWaul9 ай бұрын
@@mado.madeleine Yes, okay, but a lack of sleep affects people differently. I know people who get 5 hours of sleep and look refreshed in the morning and others who will get that same 5 and mope around and be miserable throughout the day, with under eye bags and pink eyes. Coupled with the other facts and the added stress from keeping up with everyone else, they can be affected badly. I started with makeup at 3, because I used to dance and enter speech and drama competitions, but it was only on occasion. These babies wear makeup full-time and generally have longer days in it, due to the greater freedom they have than previous generations. And they use far more makeup now. Only TV personalities and movie stars did the whole contour/highlight, colour correction, heavy powder and blush thing back then. Now, even 10 year olds do it better and more frequently than we do. 😄

Thank you for the wonderful analysis doctor. I'm a millennial and consider myself lucky to be a 1990 girl.. ❤❤ I got my first phone at the age of 20, while in college. From childhood I have been an avid reader and rarely watch tv, leave alone mindless scrolling on mobile. I am not active on any social media, I just have KZbin. I seriously started my 5 step skincare in 2019, at the age of 29. Before that, I only used a cleanser and moisturizer. I am rarely stressed, a firm believer in God and with a childlike mind and a minimalist approach to life, I look quite younger than my actual age. People tell me that all the time. Glad to know that you are a millennial too!! 😊

To be honest I don’t think there is a big difference in how we age. I think millennials kept their style more youthful with Harry Potter. Gen z try to look more mature. And of course this is just stereotypes! But I know many millennials who have bad looking skin. Wrinkles, sun damage etc. Millennials think so highly of themselves on the internet. While some of you look quite young - the other part definitely look much older.

The world have never been kind to humans most of the time. People used to have to hunt and farm for food and humans are vulnerable to diseases. Our lifespan are also relatively short throughout history. There are also wars as well. My point is many generations of humans actually lived a very harsh life. This is a fact if you go and study on it. Its just that after ww2 the world see a reshuffle and for the first thirty years after it the economy was booming and growing. The milenials grew up in the golden economy age of this world. We have the best childhood and material life of all generations. Thats why quite a number of us are able to preserve and maximize our youth and health. The world is now shofting back into chaos once again and gen z are consign back to the fates of earlier batches of humans once again. In a sense. We were lucky. We are tge nost fortunate kids in our era and we are also a bit of a strawberry gen too. Not as resilent and hardy as the older generations cos we never see chaos as young adults but we are bit better than the younger generation. Just a bit only though. Our timeline have merge back together by now as tge world go back to its old state. Gen z and milenials share the same challenges in life nowadays.
@anglo-saxonconnor8179 ай бұрын
When compared to millennials yes gen z aged faster and look older than we were when we were at their age but remove the millennials then the gen z are actually considered normal because our great and grandparents were also matured during their early years too due to hardship and stress. All of them are all forced to grow up faster because of life issues and lifestyles. Millennials are actually the exception not the norm in the grand scheme of things.
