Not a fan of how they handled the spirit wave orb transfer but other than that as a longtime fan of the series I've been enjoying these first 3 eps a lot and think they're handling the material nicely considering the 5 episode limit

I agree, not sure there was much point actually killing genkai. Overall very strong live action in my opinion
