Ich bin gerade mit meinem Mann auf Gili Air. Eigentlich schreibe ich keine Kommentare, aber fühle mich jetzt verpflichtet dazu. Man kommt am Hafen an, wo kleine Pferde/Ponys viel zu schwer bepackt mit Gepäck, Menschen und anderen schweren Dingen werden. Wenn sie keine Kraft mehr haben, wird ihnen in den Bauch getreten oder sie werden ausgepeitscht. Wir haben eins gesehen, dass am Ziel mit zitternden Knien angekommen jst. Der ganze Strand ist voll vermüllt und komplett überschwemmt mit toten Korallen. Mein Taucherherz blutet auf der Insel, es ist aber genauso auf den anderen Gili Inseln. Hier gibt es einen Haufen verstümmelte Katzen, aufgrund von Inzucht. Häufig sieht man leere Hotels, die nicht fertig gebaut wurden oder pleite gegangen sind. Sie werden einfach stehen gelassen.. Wenn man etwas vom Touristen Gebiet abseits geht ist man im Müllhaufen angekommen. Das Meer ist voll mit Müll und Sandburgen werden mit Müll verziert. Wir sind hier weil wir geblendet wurden von den ganzen KZbin Videos. Ich bitte alle die hier her kommen wollen, schaut euch die ganzen google Bewertungen an über die Insel...

Ich freue mich, dass Sie das Video kommentieren, da Sie einen guten Punkt ansprechen, und ich finde es gut, unterschiedliche Meinungen zu sehen, da jeder andere Erfahrungen hat. Ich benutze nie Transportmittel mit Pferden und mache im Tourismus selten etwas, bei dem Tiere im Spiel sind, da die Situation 99,9 % der Zeit und überall auf der Welt nicht gut ist. Wir gingen zu Fuß zu unserem Hotel, was in Ordnung war, da die Insel so klein ist. Ich denke, dass es einen großen Unterschied zwischen den Gili-Inseln gibt, da die meisten Geschäfte auf Gili T nicht überleben und es eher auf Rucksacktouristen und jüngere Leute ausgerichtet ist, die Party machen wollen, ist es nicht wirklich meine Wahl. Und Gili Meno ist teurer und gehobener. Aber wir haben Gili Air wirklich genossen und würden wiederkommen, aber ich kann auch verstehen, dass es nicht jedermanns Sache ist. Trotzdem danke für Ihre aufmerksame Antwort.

I have not been there except when the boat stopped to pick up some people on our way back to Lombok from Gili Trawangan. But I am going to make it a point to go to Gili Air next time. As an American, I don't much like their food. I did at first, then it got old fast. Didn't like having rice 2 or 3 times a day. Nasi Campur got boring fast for me. But the Mangosteens, Dragonfruit and Rambutan were amazing. I really miss them. Thanks for posting the video. Brought back some good memories.

Ayngelina. I honestly wish to thank you for your Indonesia series. Prior to viewing it, I had no desire to see Indonesia. Now thanks to you, I will make it part of my next Asian trip. I would still love to get your overall opinion on Asia, at the end of your journey!

my favourite woz gado gado that woz 30 years ago. price on gili air pretty fair as needs be transported by boat to island petrol not cheap

So we stayed on Gili Air, it’s a ten minute boat ride from Lombok on a public boat. Once you get to the island there are lots of tour agencies and different tours you can take. Oddly enough the one close to the port was the best deal in terms of how many people were on the boat, which I think is important to ask. But the prices are pretty standard with a bit of room to negotiate but not much.

Got chills just to see pictures ! went there because I won 1 week in the ocean 5 hotel with free padi certification and 3 day in a private villa in the center of the island (yeah not kidding, luckiest night of my life) that i won at a bingo in Ubud 😅 and... I fell in love, the ocean 5's team almost got me to stay with them to become a diving instructor, this place is something special, the community is awesome, everybody know each other, local and tourist are open, lovely... I've been to many places in many countries, this one is THE one, if one day I feel depress, I definitely move there. I didn't try Travagan but I went to Meno as well (yeah I won a divin session with Mantas in Meno that same night too, like I said "luckiest" 😅) but definitely difficult to be better than Gili Air

When people say Lombok is what Bali was 25 years ago do you think that’s true? Because when I was in Kuta I thought there’s no way this was all just farmland 25 years ago and is now a mess of tattoo shops, convenience stores and traffic jams.

Many episodic cases of DENGUE in LOMBOK . My girlfriend caught dengue sickness in GILIS . We went in emergency to hospital , and after 3 days , and confirmation of Dengue , we came back to Europe . We enjoyed totally 8 days in Lombok . 3 days in Sengigi , 5 days in Gili , the fifth day she had fever , and 3 days in hospital .and finish . Our plan was 1 full month . She caught dengue in sengigi , just before Gili .

@@ayngelina Good news. If you go to Kalimantan you can see native animals that come from Kalimantan. such as OrangUtans, Bekantan(Gold monkey) Pesut (freshwater dolphins) and many other species. There are also tours that can spoil the eye

This is my first trip to bali, after 6 days in ubud, we are thinking of going to Gili air, its me and my daughter, and she is 11. do you reccomend this bungalow with children? or should I up the price a little? how do we get to that place when we arrive from boat? and how many days? we are not in a hurry :)

Everything on the island is max 20 minutes walk and the horse carriages can take you. This is like a motel type area with a pool but they do have bigger rooms so it depends on what your daughter wants to do. We spent a lot of time exploring the island and didn’t really hang out at the hotel a lot but if you think she needs a big pool there are other spots too.

Spent last Dec/Jan in Indonesia including a week on Gili Air - ate in all kinds of places from slick resto in glitzy malls to street food to places with packed earth floors thatched roof and waiters who were barefoot - Never got sick once. The thing to be conscious of is the water. Avoid drinking tap water - always drink bottled water - in remote areas don’t get ice in your beverages.

gili air is wonderful for rest and relaxation but the beaches of gili are not blue and clear. they are murkey - i stayed for 2 months and so it’s not a matter of the way or wind or rain it’s not hawaii for sure but its so low cost so it’s good for that type of trip on a rugged infrastructure place - budget vacation to just relax - the nicest people
