The most important thing to keep in mind when comparing Saint Seiya to Dragon Ball is the differences in fighting styles. I DB everyone fights using the same straight forward approach of hand intermixed with raw energy attacks, in SS is much more complicated, Seiya and Shiryu (along with Aiolia and Dohko) may be just as straigh forward as Goku and Vegeta, but you also have saints like Saga, Mu, Deathmask, Milo, Aphrodite and Shaka wich have insta-kill attacks that can't be countered using conventional methods, what can Goku do against a Sekishiki Mekai Ha or a Rikudo Rinne? Not to mention that neither Goku nor Vegeta can actually fight at 100% since they risk destroying the planet, every saint however can fight at 100% since they can focuse their power on the opponent's atoms without collateral damage. And then there are the differences in how cosmo and ki work, ki is just inner life energy (and every saint knows how to use it, since it is a prerequisite to learn cosmo) it gets depleted as the fighter gets tired or his body suffers injury, it has a spiritual/mental component, but it heavily relies on the physical condition of the fighter, cosmo on the other hand is purely spiritual, no matter how tired or injured can always access 100% of his/her cosmo, it's just a matter of skill in controlling it and determination. When Goku is beaten and almost dead he can't do anything, Seiya in the same conditions however can unleash his most powerful attacks, that's how he usually beats the main villains after all.

I'd like to add something, on next dimension, the bronze boys and atena travelled back to the past, chronos only showed the way, if I'm not wrong. A simple human would not have been able to do that. In a few words, although chronos had given them the path, they wouldn't have travelled back to the past if they hadn't reach the right amount of speed. My views on Goku: Universal+ to Low Multiversal(2~3 universes). It's obvious(at least for me) now that Goku is unquestionably Universal+, but we actually can argue that U7 is the equivalent of 2 to 3 space-time continuums, so going by that we can reach at best Low Multiversal(2~3 universes). As for speed. I think he's at least sextillions of times FTL. I use filler and stuff, as well, so there are feats that make him around trillions/quadrillions of times FTL by the end of the Cell Saga, and using some decent scaling(like applying 20× speed for SSJ and Kaioken, as well as some powerscaling) you can reach up to hundreds of sextillions of times FTL. And that's about it. Seiya would have advantage in other aspects such as will power and resistance/hacks. And probably is much faster. So yeah, to my knowledge Seiya wins. I'm not some SSJRYU1 who thinks Goku has immesurable speed and is Multiverse Level. For me that's bullshit.

Wasn't there an episode in DBS when Goku was fighting against Fused Zamasu and shouted "Full Power" at him, even at SSB. Where's that "multiversal attack" the fans were talking about. Goku doesn't have enough power to destroy the universe. The first time Goku was fighting Beerus, as he achieved SSG, the clash that almost "destroyed the universe" sounded like an outlier. Seiya at the end of Hades chapter surpassed Ikki. Ikki didn't even make him blink. Seiya on the other hand, made him bleed. The God Cloth awakened all Seiya's inner powers and since he is the "chosen one" becuase of Pegasus, He's one step ahead of his friends. Seiya defeated Thanatos alone. Hypnos, equal to his brother was bested by Hyoga, Shun and Shiryu fighting together (also in GC)

Dragon Ball feats are very inconsistent. It seems like it gets retconned all the time devaluing old feats. Like in the original Dragon Ball, Goku has surpassed gods of martial arts as a kid. He then surpassed high ranked gods like the Kaios and beat Frieza who can burst Planets. There was no need for god powers. Now he gets god powers and his feats look less impressive since anyone can train off screen and surpass him. Such feats like the universal "destruction" was never repeated. If anything that feat belongs to the God of Destruction who have destruction ki. Literally destroying through hax powers instead of actual strength. A writer called Toshio of DBS admitted that Goku even in Super Saiyan Blue can't destroy the Universe and the only one capable is Zeno which is also just a hax power. Thus nobody in Dragon Ball but Zeno can destroy a Universe. If you want to argue about just being 1 writer and question canonity, Super isn't written by Toriyama but Toei. And the only thing canon is Toriyama's notes which non of us know about. Thus many questionable plotholes exist in Super and keep adding up. Going by the manga, the biggest statement of feat besides Zeno's universal destruction was Moro's selfdestruct that could potentially destroy a galaxy. Far bigger feats were shown by the original anime where Boo just by losing control can make the universe collaps by making dimensions clash with each other. That is the second biggest feat in Dragon Ball. And perhaps in the movies and GT where Goku just powering up can shake the afterlife which is as big as the universe. Movie 12 he was Super Saiyan 3 and in GT he didn't even transform. Even Ultra Instinct isn't anything new. Goku could perform the same thing since his training under Mr. Popo. Just that it isn't sold as a pallet swap power up. In fact Goku is far more advance if Super didn't exist retconning him into an amateur student. He fights using minimal movement and fight without even looking at his opponent. In GT he has Super Saiyan 4 which allows him to adapt to opponents even far stronger than himself. An opponent that was able to take his strongest move grew 10+ times stronger and used techniques of opponents he faced previously, but Goku survived them all.

He can. Kaioken scales speed linearly, meaning Namek Goku scales to FTL from Piccolo destroying the moon being a Relativistic speed feat. If we're talking a composite Goku, he also moved so fast during the climax of his fight with Freeza in the anime that Kaio couldn't track him despite tracking Vegeta and Nappa's pods, and DBS Goku obviously scales from Beerus' casual speed feat mentioned in the video, making DBS Goku a few billion times FTL. That said though, that's still nothing to Seiya when bringing the 7th Sense to the limit, and it doesn't help that, no matter how strong Goku is, atomisation and soul manipulation mean Seiya only even needs the speed of his 7th or 8th Sense self to win.

First of all goku is also low multiversal bc of his attack potency and he would also have resistance to seiya's hacks bc goku's raw power is on par with seiya's power and in the dragon ball series if a fighter who is weaker is trying to use hacks on a fighter who is stronger than it wont work on that stronger fighter. Second goku is far faster than trillions of times faster than light, in fact him in base form is quadrillions of times faster than light, if u stack up the multipliers he will quickly be in the sextillions of times faster than light in mui form so speed wouldnt be the deciding factor in who wins the match.

He only has resistance to time manipulation. Seiya can ignore durability in a variety of ways and can utilize a lot of hax Goku can't resist. And Seiya is easily far above Goku's attack Potency as he far outscales Shaka and Shijima who both can create and destroy a myriad of universes. Also while Goku at endgame can reach those speeds, Seiya has casually been those speeds even before he got the God cloth or any of the boosts after that feat and heck, even reaches higher than that. And Seiya has immortalites Goku can't bypass. Ultimately, Seiya is Goku's superior.

Time manipulation would be resisted but not something like atoms getting completely destroyed. In a fight to the death, Goku would abd he just has no way to kill Seiya. Even in a non fight to the death, Seiya would still win via his higher stats. Goku is very strong but he can't beat Seiya tbh.

Also pratically all the Abilities Goku resisted are not a durability negation which is a huge problem for Goku. While Seiya can be knocked out, I just don't see Goku being capable of such a thing, especially since both of them don't go all out at the beginning. Goku can be erased by a good enough erasure. After all, Zeno can do it. It just takes a strong enough erasure to do it.
