I don't feel like any of the "Gods" or "godly beings" in the Dragon Ball universe are real Gods. While all beings have immortal souls, they also have mortal bodies that are born and eventually die. Even the Supreme Kai's are born, grow old and die. Even the Angels in DBS seem to adhere to this rule. Sure the Kai's and Angels may be being from higher dimensions, but they're still mortal. Goku learning their abilities and such is like he is ascending into a higher dimension - while still being grounded in what is known as the 3rd-dimentional realm (if you know anything about spirituality). The Dragons, however, seem to exist on another level. Waaay beyond the realms of mortals. They're like all-powerful, all knowing beings from a dimension so high they are more connected with the multiverse itself. With Source. Time, space, dimensional and universal barriers do not limit them. They manifest 3rd-dimension mortal bodies out of pure light. They can will anything into existence. They're only limited by the power of the namekian that created the dragon balls through which a dragon is summoned or "channelled". The fact that namekians can channel these celestial, other-worldly beings and harness even a fraction of the dragons power makes you realise that namekians are way more divine than we would initially think. Especially since Dragon Clan members used to be on par with Super Saiyans before they became an endangered species. And even after almost total genocide the warrior types were still some of the strongest beings in the universe (Dragon clans weren't pushovers either, and still have many other divine abilities). In conclusion I'd put dragons as the closest thing to real gods. To SOURCE itself. I'd say they're close to being the only real gods in the Dragon Ball franchise. Which means that 'End of GT' Goku had ascended so high he reached their level. The fact DBS Goku and Vegeta are barely scratching "God" of Destruction levels, let alone Angel level; this just proves how much more powerful GT Goku is in comparrison.

I would like to know how did you came to that conclusion that kais age Kibito was born old, and the old kai was fusion with a witch. As far as I'm aware I don't remember seing any statement that the kais grow old. Sure they can be killed, but they shouldn't Just respawn like Steve of minecraft. @@AgnesBooth-zu7tw Shin was a new, inexperienced Supreme Kai. Even Elder Kai was young and quite inexperienced before his accidental fusion. The Grand Supreme Kai (the one who Buu absorbed to become the fun-loving Fat Buu) was the oldest and the wisest (and most experienced) of the Supreme Kai's. I'm not sure where you heard that Kibito was born old. However, I'm sure it was in an interview where Toriyama stated the Supreme Kai's were born from a tree or plant or something. So they are born, and they do seem to age up (as the ones who look older are show to be the most knowledgeable and experienced) and they have to learn how to be a Supreme Kai and the older ones are the wisest. The fact that new young Kai's come and go implies that the older ones die off eventually. I can't imagine they have to be killed off every time. But just the fact they're killable at all implies they're mortal. Also, being born so inexperienced implies they don't respawn with all their memories and experience. They could reincarnate, but seem not to remember their past lives, just like anyone else (like Uub for example, or how Piccolo described reincarnation to Vegeta).

If we go with him merging with the dragon balls and the dragon, I think he may be beyond a physical form and only takes one when he needs to. As for his tail, he spent way more of his life without one and maybe when he pictures himself he doesn't have a tail and is in his fighting prime.

I think the tail question is as simple as it is asked: He can appear wherever he pleases, how he pleases, when he pleases. In the moments that Goku Jr. is interacted with, he doesn't have one, right? My headcanon was that, Shenron chose Goku to become the "guardian of the dragon balls." Because the balls had been so misused over the last 50 years or so, Shenron wanted a powerful warrior to watch-over them, and make sure they were only being used by those deemed _worthy_ and not those who would misuse them. I believe that the Dragons like Shenron come from the realm of _Eternity;_ they are beings who transcend space and time, meaning that Goku being allowed to be there is a great-honor.

My headcannon is that he just, decided not to have it. Basically I think it's possible that in merging with the Dragon Balls and going off to wherever he went Goku shed his mortal body and exists as something beyond flesh and bone and the body we see at the end of GT is probably a physical body created by Goku to house his spirit in the material world, and the reason it's his adult body with no tail is because that's how Goku spent most of his life, it's just the most comfortable and familiar to him. He could have had the body have his tail if he wanted it to, but didn't end up giving his body the tail.
