I think the potential theory is flawed because look at Vegeta he had the best potential over looking Broly. And yet Goku over shadows him, not to mention Gohan who is pretty inconsistent in terms of potential. Technically Goten should hold the title as biggest potential. Man I really wish they did more with Raditz. Yes he did what he was supposed to from a story perspective, but out of the Saiyans only Nappa really needed to die simply to show off Vegeta's ruthlessness. Ya know though I never understood why Raditz never trained against the Saibamen. Considering they are supposed to be around the same power level you'd think they'd make perfect training partners for him specifically. Unless that is how he got stronger and plateaued.

Trunks was the strongest Super Saiyan at that point, the problem was that he never trained to hold back when needed. Ultra Trunks was stronger, the problem is it was a bulky, slow, and energy draining form. He later perfected it with SSJ Rage. This is a ridiculous argument. He lost because he wasn't ready. There is a theory that the super saiyan transformations with the time was being asimilated by the body of the users, making the base form more powerful but making the multiplier less. Similar at how the body accustoms to the excersice or a medicine. The super saiyan was so overuse that the body literaly absorbed the power.

Raditz grew up on planet vegeta which is 10x gravity of earths that’s why he was naturally stronger than goku when they met. Once goku got training with 10x gravity at king Kai’s planet raditz would be a joke. I don’t think raditz had the determination goku had he seemed like a cocky prick.

You're damn right it makes no sense. Goku's stamina throughout the Tournament is absolutely BULLSHIT. They talked a big game about needing to conserve energy and not recklessly powering up, and yet Goku & Vegeta use their strongest forms constantly, even against fodder opponents. There's no way in hell Goku unlocked a form revered by the gods of destruction, and mastered it in like 40 mins. And the way he unlocked it makes no sense! It was never explained! He should've died from the spirit bomb, point blank.

Raditz was doing far more actual fighting than Goku. Most of the DB series he was training by just doing hard manual labor or traveling the world. Raditz was conquering worlds and probably getting beaten down more and thus able to make use of the Zenaki ability more often as well.

I think Piccolo was somewhere between 48, and 60,000. And I think him and Nail was the first fusion in Dragonball history, and fusions are known for giving the ones who fused an incredible power increase. I think that when Piccolo and Nail fused, they were given about an 8-10 thousand power level increase for the fusion in general, then an extra 10x in power level for the fusion, which would bring Piccolo to about a 1,100,000 power level. Which would make sense, because Freiza had to transform on him, and proudly boasted his power level was over 1,000,000 in the form Piccolo faced.

Raditz is an interesting character that I wish got more love. Funnily enough, I started getting into Dragon Ball through the Budokai series, with the Fateful Brothers What-If scenario in Tenkaichi 2 being my favorite, and he was so fun to play as. I definitely think he deserves some kind of "redemption arc," maybe not like becoming "good" so to say, but something to show that he's so much more than just a stepping stone.
