Did you also know that it becomes more scarce every 4 years because only 21 million exist and real world energy must be spent in order to acquire it? did you know it goes up hundreds of % just because of the supply demand mechanics of the most scarce asset to ever exist? Sounds speculative to me friend. /sarcasm

What a narrow viewpoint: I have several cryptos that already did 3 times or more (even one who did 15 times) in these last few months, and I do not see Gold increase 5 to 10 times. Even my silver is doing better sofar.

Read the book "The Psychology of Money" - neither of you is wrong. Based on perspective, it's more likely you're both right. The problem with Bitcoin ETFs is their dollar denomination. He correctly mentions gold as exposure to dollars without being in dollars, so the same is true for all other currencies. IMO, Bitcoin is still too volatile, but that's coming from a guy entering retirement and not someone who may have 25 remaining in the workforce. Gold is one component of a portfolio that acts as a core foundation. Another excellent book that helps illustrate this is Illusions of Wealth by Doug Eberhardt.

Gold, an old controlled rock, its owners have already lost to Bitcoin and don't even know it, it's saddens my community that they haven't woken up yet, but hey their jewelry is nice, we will give them that, hell, our preachers had gold toilets in their homes.
