Yes, I have. My former boss was a great leader. She'd work with you to improve instead of being bossy and judgy. However, she was involved in personal issues more than the issues inside the office to the level where she visited a police station for an employee and pulled herself away of a problem I faced "patially caused by her".

@@loismacfarlane937 Owning another lucrative source of incomes is never a bad idea because it can be very supplementing in retirement and also very supportive to salary, and if one's frugal saving up more is guaranteed. I earnestly wish I found out sooner I wouldn't have to work all this extra years for survival although I'm happy, paychecks has helped me live but now I know it takes more than a steady 9-5 with a nice salary to accumulate wealth, please is there someway I could do the same and benefit....it would be very nice if you shared some big tips👏🏾

I'm 43 and happily retired, proudly I've successfully built over $800,000 in net worth from stocks, real estates, crypto and the foreign exchange markets, right now I'm just being smart with my money thanks to my FA...Little do I know about finance, all my investment affairs have always been managed by a licensed financial advisor. I invest with Mr.Noud Mikan, he continues to secure me gains in the markets placing trades on my behalf with his knowledge, experience and proficiency...albeit losses bound to happen he still somehow alleviates them, that way my risk to reward ratio has been balanced and my portfolio stays healthy. Annually I'm getting an average rate of 15% ROIs and he charges me 2% on commission

Im leaving my job at UPS after 14 years. The manager i have now is a child who plays favorites and gives many people multiple days off per week. But i must call in and use sick days and explain while other people have off for days. Doesn't help that im a whiteboy either.

@@asadb1990 gtfoh at UPS hub in the DMV blacks have all the special privileges. I saw it all the time when I was in the drive side. White managers never discipline blacks because they will be called racist. They discipline the accountable whiteboys for even the smallest infractions. I had all my uniform perfect yet black drivers were allowed to wear jordans and have facial hair and dreads. I miss one day of shaving and they ask why I'm not shaved. For promotions, black women came first, then black men then accountable whitey. You should move to Maryland and go to the Burtinsville hub where you will be sure to enjoy black privilege galore! Talk on your phone all day, stop for a long lunch break and walk slowly from door to door. You will never get in trouble because all the black management will look out for you and the white managers cant touch you because they will look racist. This is not only UPS but afirmitive action has made it so that if you are black, you automatically get the job over the white candidate I lost an apprenticeship program and I saw the guy at the gym and he told me they liked me but they were forced to hire the black candidate for the hvac program. She was a black woman who washed out in a few months. So all I see is black privilege and blacks crying about stuff that only blacks in the 1950s and 1960s had to deal with. They had it tough. YOU DO NOT.

Right. Solid employees who know that they bring value and solid work want to be recognized. And it doesn’t take that much, really. Acknowledgement for working hard through tough times and stressful transitions along with a sincere “thank you” goes a long way.

A long as I am paid as much as I am now, I do not need to feel valued. A job only has to provide regular, steady, pay. I ask nothing more. If a job came up where I could make more money tomorrow, I would be gone in an instant. It could be shoveling manuer. If it pays more, I am done with the job I have now, even though I have been there since late 2001.

Never tell your employer WHY you're quitting. You're not required to and it will only cause problems / burn bridges. Simply thank them for the opportunity, that another option has become available and that your last day in on ## day. That's it. Thank them (even if you hate your job), hand them the official resignation notice, turn and walk out.

Exactly. I faced that. 1 sidekick. Then 2. One day they tried 3 and wanted to make it 4. I felt like saying "well make it 5 and then that'll be everyone and you can f@#$ off home and sit on your ass where you belong. But just give me your salary.". This latest supervisor who got FAVORITED INTO the job just delegates everything to other competent people then spends the rest of the day wandering around talking to people about his personal life and home activities. Often further slowing up an already understaffed place. I had a chance to speak to someone from headquarters but wasn't going to sit there listening to promises to see it all go back to bullshit within a couple weeks of this guy flying back to the headquarters. I have seen promises broken before from this place. So I left. Caught the damn cold that was going around the place unfortunately the day after my last day.

The reasons I quit my jobs in the past the main reasons 1) I got taken advantage of because I was a good employee. I was called in constantly and had WAY TOO MUCH work to do and not enough time off. 2) constant change once I became efficient at my job they'd change ways of doing things 3) management emphasizes teamwork yet refuses to do a certain job because it's "not their job." That's one thing that is wrong.

I quit a job because the boss did not explain anything to me how to do my work, but expected at the same time to do everything specifically as he wanted. Of course, he wasn't happy with my results and then screamed at me. I quit after 4 weeks.

AMEN....At least you knew FAR sooner rather than later that the job was just not for you, and was not afraid to exit in the timeframe that you did. Timing actually holds a lot of people back from leaving which is SAD because as oppose to wasting energy and time at a place that they are already aware won't work out and feel miserable going to daily, they could seek AND find a place that would be more conducive to their needs as a job can reasonably accommodate.

Only 4 Weeks? Your Boss must have been a real piece of work. New employees should never be screamed at. You are still in the learning phase. As long as you were showing up on time, showing motivation to work, and learn the job, you should have been fine regardless if you screw something up or or did not deliver great results. ash092007 it doesn’t matter. Any boss with any high authority is probably going to see you as a commodity rather than an employee. For lots it’s all about the money for the boss, therefore if your working your ass off and doing everything you can, they will always promise you ‘this’ and ‘that’ but never deliver. Bosses and people like that will use you just like everyone else will, if you let them. If you lay your boundaries down, they will see you as a threat and do whatever they can to get rid of you whether you work your ass off or not.

Hey Linda, I quit my job yesterday after only 2 days. It was a very well paid executive job but it was full of snakes and narcissists. It was a hell hole. It was oppressive and toxic, and I noticed the agenda where they immediately tried to degrade/dehumanize me and this was only the 2nd day. I saw the red flags. I didn't even quit, didn't tell anybody, I just walked out, jumped in my car, and drove away. Great video by the way, I subscribed.

Wow, you beat me. My record was three days. It was a mid level management position. The boss made a gun threat after I talked to his wife, who also worked there. The boss also gathered everyone together on Friday afternoon to let everyone know if we were going to work that weekend. The employees never knew if they had a weekend free. I remember leaving one job after my probation came to an end and telling my owner/boss (who was way too micromanagey and the main reason I hated working there) that after 3 months I didn't think that the company was a good fit for me and Id found a better job. The look on his face was priceless. Probation periods work both ways, if the company and job look like garbage after 3 months its a good time to get out without any notice, they wouldnt think twice about doing it to you.

I think many do. From where I sit, employees usually don't view it as a two-way relationship. Just like some managers can be hard headed, many employees can be very resistant to changing overall pretty minor things, and then wonder why they're not getting huge raises and promotions. These days, some employees feel overworked if they have to come in on time and not use their phones all day. Then they wonder why they're not getting accolades.

I truly believe that most employers know when they are under paying and employee and this is another reason why they mistreat their employees. they probably think that if you were so desperate to accept the position with this low pay that you won't quit because you don't have much options. I was hired 9 days ago. My supervisor/co-worker yelled at me and abused me in front of another co-worker in an irrational and unhigned fashion. I gathered my belongings, went to the manager's office and quit...I was told on my first day that this person had already "run off 2-3 nurses already" before I was hired...The office manager simply stated that she would notify the doctor, and went back to typing on her computer..no apologies or asking for more information, and definitely no surprise and shock..wow, this is a culture of enablers to be sure...

They are seriously short staffed and killing the people they have. In my company we have 6 employees that cross over and work with almost everyone, and because they’re very mean to others, very selfish, and often break rules, it very negatively affects everyone else. And to top it all off, I was singled out this year with no production bonus because I get commission. Thats why there are Exit Interviews when you quit. Some lash out about it and some just keep quiet.

They reason why ex employees won’t do exit interview because the employer can blacklist you. At the end of the day, we all have bills to pay.

@@tjc2993 what’s an exit interview? I’m about to put in my 2 weeks and I prefer if I don’t get asked any questions from my boss or her sidekick and my coworkers

What gets me about "challenging" work, at least at my current role is that it's irritating and frustrating work due to an antiquated tedious system. Adding extra difficulty to it yet compressing deadlines leads to further frustration. I realize this isn't everywhere, hence why I'm looking at leaving/at least offering ways to make the duties less stressful. Seems management also needs to be able to adapt and listen, not just pile on more uninspiring work.

For some reason the bad employees are always treated better than the good. I just found out that one of my coworkers who does nothing but watch me do all the work, makes 4 more dollars an hour than I do. One of our best workers put in his 2 weeks and they told him he could go ahead and just quit now. And then the lazy worker put his 2 weeks in and they begged him to stay and even offered him a promotion. I'll never understand any of this

It sounds like my job. They told me they would be behind me and supportive if I decide to leave, but another employee walk around all day and keeping up mess but the boss doesn't see anything wrong with this.
