I’d rate Greenwood over Mbappe even. This is due to while Mbappe was working hard, Greenwood was fooling around while keeping up at the top level. With us being in treacherous waters with FFP we need Amad and Greenwood now more than ever. Controversial take but if we are going to sell anyone to raise cash it needs to be Rashford imo. Good player but Rashy makes us too predictable imo. With that Rashford money I would personally take a punt Thiago Almada who is an absolute star in the making and is currently only valued at $30m but both Atletico and Ajax are very interested. Almada is also extremely versatile, seeing as he can play both wing positions alongside the 10 at a high level and he will give us a serious serious threat from direct free kicks. With the rest of the Rashford money being spent on Guirassy whom is no stranger to your channel. Obviously CBs, RB and DM are also needed but you would need to raise a lot of money tbh. But yeah Garnacho, Guirassy, Almada, Hojlund, Greenwood and Amad would give us a lot depth. You also have Mount who can play on the wing as a last resort too.

Trophies are won in the middle third even if nobody appreciates it. Look at how much better we were last year with prime form Casemiro. Having an elite 6 and 8 makes everybody else's jobs easier.

@@AtlantisFootball We need at least 2 CM's too and that position has had less development and attention we need both and honestly we're not going to get both in all likelihood. in that case I prefer CMs for the reasons above but also because we have tried endlessly to sign the next star attacker and haven't gotten a single one right and we have had 2 big CM signings (Casemiro and Pogba) and while both were also disappointing I feel like they both at least contributed to some success as opposed to Sancho, Antony, Depay, Alexis etc. We've developed Rashford, Garnacho, Greenwood in a decade and maybe Amad adds his name in too. Meanwhile at CM we've developed Mainoo and that's the list of very good to elite players we've developed in that position. even for backups we have McTominay and that's pretty much the list post Pogba a roster fill energy guy and a wonderkid who has only just shown up a decade+ after Pogba. It's actually worse at CB where basically the best player we developed in a decade was Tuanzebe who is gone now and was a rotation guy at his best.

We also probably need 2 CMs and at least 1 CB and unlike the attack where its possible to imagine there being a capable lineup like Rashford Hojlund Garnacho/Greenwood we have Bruno and Mainoo and still no one to pair Mainoo with and no backup for him or his non existent partner. If Varane and Maguire go then we need a starting tier CB and a Backup assuming Kambwala can play as a rotation level player. That's not a team that can win the prem.

Rashford has been sneakily starting to get close to the 1 goal comp per match I expect of him, if he can get back to that level he's one of the better LWs we could have and his understudy has at least that kind of potential. Really its either the RW spot or the backup rotation striker I worry about. Amad has a ton of talent but is he a regular starter ? If he is great then find his backup and if Greenwood stays he pairs with Hojlund and plays RW in his non rest time. Also it's possible if ETH gets sacked and Sancho plays well at Dortmund that he could still be allowed back in by the next manager adding another could be something in the mold of Greenwood to the list of options.
