This is something I actually care very little about as long as the parody versions of real life cars look good it will be fine, now the physics are far more important.

Honestly. The only thing I’m really interested in with gta 6 would be the realism maybe more modeled interiors? Nicer graphics, better lighting and shading, better more realistic ai and props, and more customization in general of cars of any kind, maybe in the only one but it would be kind of nice to be able to yk have different upgrades on cars like supercharged or turbo, and then drivetrain options, awd rwd fwd, and more interior upgrades like colors, steering wheels, gauges, seats, harnesses, I don’t want realistic cars just very customizable cars so not all are the same in a lobby of 20 people, I also think dynamic traffic would be nice, say you want to be able to go traffic cutting or take it low and slow you have those options, also a better engine sound system would be nice, so maybe dials to adjust pitch and sound, personally I would love these but idk about other people,

@@Freakashoni yea I agree i doubt there will be a crazy amount of customization but it will definitely be more then gtaV I’m just really hoping the car physics won’t be like gtaV I’m not really a fan of the extreme arcade physics, one thing I want which I doubt they would add is wheel support it’s a big ask but it would be really cool especially if they lean in on more realistic driving physics but they can definitely go to far I don’t want full sim physics like AC or beamng soft body physics, but if they go more of a Forza Horizon type physics with some vehicle damage(mostly cosmetic) I think it would be great and I’m really hoping first person view will actually look good unlike gtaV😂.

Thats how i feel theres alot more freedom in using fictional versions of vehicles than if they used real brands it would even risks the game being removed from stores or updated to remove the vehicles

Well it's no secret that no car brand wants to see it's own cars run over people or getting damaged and destroyed. As a car guy, I perfectly understand it...and still, we'll get the chance to feature real life cars in GTA VI through mods, as it has been the case with previous GTAs on PC

Rockstar Online can even create multiple servers with multiple focus points. one can focus on gang activity while the other on cruising, racing and car meetings without violence. One thing that was not mentioned about real cars in GTA games is the the manufacturers do not want to see their cars get damaged or destroyed in video games. Many games that featured licensed car brands lack damage to them or have some minor scratches to the paint. Having fictional car brands and models in video games has more benefits and freedom. - No licensing required - cars being damaged. - no risks of the video game being delisted from storefronts like steam - car modifications

Agree with your points. Not just vehicles, there is so many things in gta imitate real life. People, places, products, food branding, cloth branding. They create their own universe of mockery. In gta 6, we can see new stuff such as their own social media version of ‘tiktok’ and ‘whatsapp’

Video suggestion: you should talk about how time would probably be in Gta 6 like how long the days would be. Cause in gta 5 the mins went by so fast might be a weird suggestion but... ye

If you think time went by fast in GTA V, try previous GTAs LOL. In San Andreas night time lasted about 6-7 minutes. You don't want to have night and day last as much as they do in real life. San Andreas was way too fast, though. GTA V hits the sweet spot

Mainly comes down to GTA being a parody of real life, using said brands kinda defeats the purpose. As you mentioned the modelling, sound design and limiting customisations would play a big factor, probably the 2nd biggest reason, but idk why people still would ask this sort of question when it's such a simple answer. Same reason they don't use "Miami, Los Angeles, New York" as the city names.

Only reason there's not real cars in GTA is because GTA is a mass of parody of real life. That's it. It was never going for the vibe of being exactly like real life. Reason 5 is the BIGGEST reason, by a long, long shot. All the other reasons may have been a significant factor during the creation of GTA. But since then, as GTA has cemented its setting as taking place in a universe that parodies our own, it would have been illogical to add real life vehicles to the game, it would undermine the themes of gta and completely break the world building. The cars in GTA serve a bigger purpose in the narrative than most people think. But this discussion is starting to matter less and less as rockstar started to design newer vehicles to be carbon copies of their real life inspirations. They no longer implement parody in the designs of vehicles, only the model and brand names. Ngl I miss it when they exercised creative freedom in the design of vehicles. New GTA cars have stopped being unique and identifiable as GTA cars, its gotten to the point where it's more efficient to refer to them by their real life names these days

Imma comment before watching and say, GTA is not the real world. It’s a fictional world. Real world brands being in gta creates a narrative dissonance. It also stifles the creativity they’re able to have when making a new (or old) vehicle? Also, they’ve licensed real world cars in games like midnight club. Its not a cost issue
