Because you learn and grow in life. No one is perfect. People need to stop hating on influencers because they make mistakes. Who freaking cares that they're famous people and influencers. LITERALLY EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES!! just because someone is famous does not mean they're perfect. It's stupid how as soon as they make a mistake they get canceled. Like yall haven't made mistakes. And I bet you that many unpopular/not famous people have done black face and have said the N word. But they don't get canceled. Social media has ruined this world.

It's toxic and gross af. Imagine dragging a 14yr old for singing along to a Kanye West song and jokingly calling their mom a "lesbian". I think it says more about the ppl so quick to hate her than it does for her having a bad sense of humor when she was 14...

Except these aren't mistakes. I mean the song of her lip syncing an "n" word, THAT is a mistake. But the other stuff she has done wasn't. She didn't accidentally paint herself black, she didn't accidentally continue to use the n word, and she didn't accidentally say a racist Asian slur while also mocking a common facial features within the Asian community.
@LionUniverse142 жыл бұрын
@@yasmincruzsta6296 thing is, you're absolutely right and I don't know you but I'm glad you know better than to act like this. The problem is that any mistake or terrible joke can be recorded and displayed for the rest of your life, and that's not healthy or good for you or anyone. Then there are kids and teens that say and do offensive things, sometimes even purposely hurt others, and even though they absolutely should be accountable, with time and experience most realize that acting cruel doesn't make you cooler or erase your own hurt. __ longer message below, rant of my experiences of this as an almost 30 year old lel__ Out of a group of girls that bullied me and others in my year, only one has kept being a nasty person. As the others grew up, they realised what they were doing, many apologised without being asked to, and as adults they are completely different people. For an example of cruel things that can be done without intending to hurt or bully. I did this and I regret it. it took me until almost the end of high-school to stop using a homophobic word. I wasnt homophobic, I used it bc it was "normal" and "funny" to say around my friends But it was ignorant, stupid, a hurtful slur and when I realised that, I stopped, and regret it. I hope that I didn't hurt anyone, but in the end of the day, I might have realised and stopped but it doesn't take away the fact that I did use it back then and its likely I did hurt someone, even tho I didn't mean to . Back then, social media was beginning and I didn't publicly post that, but what if I had? Or if there were screenshots of a MSN messenger chat where I had used it? That ignorant cruelty could have hurt (more) and reached classmates that I had no idea would one day come out as LGBT. It would have also been a permanent mark on me and my friends, no matter how much I regret it, and it wouldn't matter that I didn't intentend to hurt anyone directly or indirectly. Social media is great in some ways but it takes snapshots of a person that might not exist anymore, and especially when it comes to teenagers and kids, it's important to keep that in mind. Keep developing yourself and allow others to develop, keep track of your mistakes and others cruel/hurtful/stupid actions, but don't hold a grudge against anyone. If someone is toxic, especially if it's on purpose, don't keep them in your life. Even this girl Mackenzie, if she's toxic, keep her out of your life, your feed, follows, whatever. Even social media follows can be hurtful and toxic. Anyways, as a kind of old bat, I see your generation as much more aware and knowledgeable than mine ^^ I'm sure you're already doing a lot better than I was when I was 14. Wish you all the best!

As someone who studies psychology- little bit of an inside to a teenage brain. You brain doesn’t fully develop until your 25, this means that some part of the brain are fully developed at 16 and others are still growing and learning. Now the last part of our brain to fully develop is the frontal lobe. In our frontal lobe that is where we decide right or wrong, it’s where ee think about our actions before we do them. Because this part of the brain takes so much longer than the rest of the brain there are often difficultlies communicating between different brain part. With every mistake a child/ teenager makes our frontal lobe learns and grows. In order for our frontal lobe to fully develop we first need to decide who we are and who we want to be, what are our morals in life wich rules do we life by. I’m all for holding people accountable and telling them when they make mistakes but we can’t blame a teenager for not always making the right choices. With every mistake kenzie learns something and if the same mistakes keep happening than maybe there is a moral that she life’s by that the magority does not agree with. So educate and don’t hate. 😘

@@ivybilha8939 First of all, IF doing black face, being homophobic, bullying, saying the n-word, partying during a pandemic, mocking Asians people’s eyes, and also calling them the c-word is not problematic, then there’s something you’re clearly not getting. These are not accusations when there is proof. Blackface gained popularity in the 19th century where these non-blacks (mostly whites) would intentionally paint their face way darker than their actual skin color to basically spread racial stereotypes of black people. A lot of the times it was used in TV shows and stuff like that. For example, these people would spread stereotypes by exaggerating their lips because apparently to them, black people have “big lips”. If I got anything wrong please feel free to correct me, but that’s what I’ve learned. You should probably research more about this topic because I only wrote a very short summary of it. Also instead of making excuses for her, you need to hold her accountable because she needs to understand what she did wrong and change for the better. We all make mistakes, but it’s important to understand why. And of course apologize.

idk a lot of this stuff is just too recent to blame on childhood naivety tbh. Not to bash on ppl who r homeschooled as a whole, but i think that needs to be questioned in this case too.
