Why has my fish lost its color? How to get the best color from my fish!

Thank you! I added some fake plants and decor last night and woke up to pale fish soooo I was freaking out that the decor made them sick. It turns out they are stressed cause I change up their home. Thank you for the great info and informative video.

Great video! My Serpae tetra acts fine but is really fat and pale, those are the only signs so I'm not sure how to treat it, I have Been doing 20%water changes 2 times a week, I Feed a variety of frozen, pellet and flake foods during the week and skip skip feeding on Sunday's, have a 30 gallon with 7 Serpae tetras, 4 Harliquin Rasboras, 12 neon tetras everyone else has beautiful color, should I get a few more Serpae tetras to make the school bigger?

7 is a pretty good number. My guess without seeing the fish would be bloat. I would try to treat for that if it doesn't resolve on its own.

I have a betta fish and I don't have the money to buy all that stuff. But I think another reason why they are losing its color is the fish gets older as time goes by.

Goldfish don't change colors just because they don't have good tankmates.

Zeze Whiite no goldfish change colors for a ton of reasons including genetics, age, amount of sunlight and temperature. This video is geared more to tropicals. But any fish with tank mates that stress the fish out will wash and and suffer ill effects including goldfish.
