jean raeven Villareal no just make sure the system is balanced correctly so that it doesn’t build up overnight. I personally don’t use co2 so I would do some research are the best levels to run your system at.

Sorry I didn't see this for so long. If your betta is in an aquarium with a heater and filter you can house several small fish with them. Small tetras like black neons or rasboras would be good. Just make sure they are not nippy fish as bettas are slow and their fins are prone to being nipped by things like barbs and larger tetras.

@@wvfishkeeper8865 hey dude, what about the daylight though? iv been searching for this answer and you've come the closest to answering it already but I'm a night owl and if I turn my lights off at 3 in the morning then the sun comes up at 5 then they've only had a 2 hour dark period as my tank is in my kitchen with windows
