Sucker Punch and Insomiac were both working on other projects, and Vicarious Visions was doing the Crash N.Sane Triligy at the time. I would have been tough to find a good studio for it.

I think they really need to remaster the PS2 Era games before jumping in and remastering the PS3 games. Don't get me wrong I love the PS3 games, but the original games on the PS2 (especially Going Commando) are still to this day my favorite in the series.

I hope they do this for the 20th anniversary of Ratchet and Clank. Also, here's my idea of what they should do, make a collection of the original PS2 games, first one, Going Command, Up Your Arsenal, & Deadlocked. Then do one with the future trilogy with Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty, A Crack in Time, & Into the Nexus. And then one more for the Spinoffs with, Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank, All 4 One, & Full Frontal Assault. And then...again only for the PS5 version, all of the collection into one disc for $70 (or more) dollars and it be called, Ultimate Ratchet and Clank Mega Collection!

Fun fact: I did actually replay all the ratchet and clank games that released on PS3 last year just before Christmas. I literally had a full blown marathon of tools of destruction, quest of booty, a crack in time, all 4 one, q-force and nexus. Mainly for the release of rift apart which I still haven’t played as of yet. Hoping to get a ps5 one day!

Given how well received the recent additions of the first Sly Cooper game, PSP's Daxter, and Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters to PS Plus have been, I do hope they do a remaster collection disc for the Future saga one day. Sony and Insomniac Games should get Bluepoint Games to do this, as that company was acquired by Sony a few years ago and they specialize in making remasters and collection disc of games for the latest consoles.

Yesss Crack in Time is fantastic.. it deserves to run @ 60 fps. I went back to play it last year and gave up after awhile with all the frame drops and 30 max fps.. Yes spoiled, but 30fps doesnt age well with high fidelity graphics like that.. esp with ps3s obsession with bloom lol

My guess as to why they haven't been remastered is probabaly due to Insomiac being really busy over the past couple of years. remember that they made Spiderman ps4 and Miles Morales. And sure they kight get another studio to work on the ports like how Vicarious Visons did the Crash remasters, but Vicarious was also bought out by Blizzard, and finding another company could be tough (assuming Insomiac can't work on it atm). I'd love to see remasters though, with this being a pretty good time for it.

I wasn't a big fan of Tools of Destruction tbh. The difficulty spikes were so unforgiving and the checkpoints were sparse compared to the other titles. And there were several weapons i just did not use. A Crack in Time is one of my favorites if not the favorite and I wish that would get the remaster treatment

Sony doesn't give a flying fk about their games. I cannot believe the old Ratchet & Clank games have not been remastered. The PS5 doesn't have backwards compatibility it's insane. And no, streaming these games doesn't count as backwards compatibility, that's just lazy and unrespectful of those games. So if you want to play these classics you need a super high end CPU PC in order to emulate them. My dumb ass bought a PS5 for my little brother being super excited I could play the old Ratchet & Clank games until I realized they're streamed... Other series like Sly Cooper or Jak games also don't have proper remastered. Absolutely disrespectful, I won't ever purchase a Playstation console until they actually show they care for their old games. I would pay a stupid amount to play these old games at modern resolutions at 60 fps and that's why I'm looking at building a top of the line PC just for that.

Considering that the PS2 trilogy was remastered for the PS3 and honestly played even better on the latter console, I'm surprised that the PS3 trilogy was never remastered for the PS4. The graphics of the Future trilogy still hold today, but wouldn't it be great if we had that option to play Tools of Destruction and so on with updated visuals, 4K resolution on PS4 Pro and other potential improvements. Come on Insomniac, the Future trilogy was amazing, especially Tools of Destruction, which is my favourite, why can't we have that for our PS4's instead of that unnecessary reimagining of the first game in 2016?

Imma be real with y'all, Quest for Booty was not that good in my opinion, sure it was an interlude between Tools of Destruction and Crack in Time but it's not really that important aside from Ratchet mentioning that he found another device that allowed contact with the Zoni, my main gripe was how you basically only had the full arsenal for the introduction and was limited to EVENTUALLY reclaiming the Combuster, Fusion Grenades, and the Alpha Disruptor (this one being re-purchased from the Smuggler)

ever tried to check out some 2nd hand websites? i do this all the time for ps3 and ps2 games.. there are a lot of people who sell ps2-ps3 copies anywhere from 2 bucks to 15 bucks. or you could check out some some local game shops who sell older stuff. its somtimes more expensive but usally they will be sealed copies.
