Why Hiring to Promote Diversity is Stupid

Problem is, with subconscious biases, if you aren't a white able bodied man, if you aren't physically attractive and tall, you have to work twice as hard for the same recognition. Ask any woman, ask anyone uglier than you, ask anyone who isn't white, ask disabled people.

@@tanner.chidester it's a useful to empathize with others and perform critical thinking about the ways society tends to benefit others more than others. If I was hiring employees for a company, I would hire people from marginalized backgrounds as long as they had the qualifications needed to get the job done. They would have spent most of their life needing to work harder and smarter than their privileged counterparts. Why don't you try posting and commenting on social media under the persona of a woman, then post similar things under the persona of a man? You'll find that under the persona of a woman, you will be more readily disrespected and dismissed than as a man. Go the extra mile and set your profile picture to a girls face. See how many creepy messages and threats you will get, even if the topic is completely unrelated to such things. While companies hiring diversity for the sake of good press, it still helps break down prejudices. As the classic author Mary Wollstonecraft often said, women are perceived as inferior to men, not because of inherent differences, but because of their lack of opportunity to education, as a result of the perception of women as inferior to men, and so on, still applies to many different marginalized groups today. By giving hiring to promote diversity, this sort of logic is broken down.

You people are so delusional that you always use the concept of empathy to justify your actions without a proper reason. You don't realize that this makes you biased and selective of the people who you personally empathize with. So simplistic! It is inexplicable. Try to justify your beliefs with pure reason and principles rather than catering to your emotions.

Most companies know it’s bullshit, but the bigger your company is, and when you get larger contracts from more official parties, then you have to be a certain quota there are people who profit of being a certain race which allows them to take those contracts and then outsource it too other companies and take a cut from others work kind racist it’s forced but money is money
