Hitler lost the war because he ignored the sound battlefield advice of his generals, and because he refused to allow tactical withdrawals in situations that were clearly untenable.

The biggest factor is that Hitler pushed unrealistic objectives on his army. Despite how good the German Army was, they lacked a lot of resources, and with overambitious campaigns, they exhausted themselves and eventually were overwhelmed by the Allies.
@VRed2242 ай бұрын
Hitler's refusal to surrender or consider defeat was deeply influenced by his awareness of the likely consequences if he were captured or if Germany lost. His leadership style was marked by intense authoritarianism, and he maintained an image of unwavering strength, both as a means of rallying his followers and instilling fear in others. The extent of the war crimes committed under his regime added to his desperation, as he knew that surrender would lead not only to his own prosecution but also to a dismantling of his entire ideological vision. This relentless drive, coupled with a disregard for both his people’s suffering and the inevitable destruction, ultimately led to his inevitable downfall and catastrophic outcomes for Germany.

Materialschalacht, the germans were forme to fight a short war of manuver. In a long war the tactical german formation was not sufficient. Especially against the deep operation doctrine and the war on more fronts. The logistic as well had some problems. The generals? I suggest you to watch a video that talks about the fact that the generals were very good at giving all the faults to hitler just to save themselves. Be careful on thinking that hitler lost beacuse was crazy and the general were the "good boys".

I share a similar sentiment. If the Japanese had helped Germany and joined in on operation Barbosa and attack the Soviets from the east, they would've won the war. Over 75% of the German armed forces was on the eastern front fighting the Russians, if they could've been knocked out right away with the help of the Japanese, then the full attention is on the allies in the west and then there's no way D-day would've succeeded.

Truthfully missing a massive amount of details and some accuracy, but basically right. In essence, Germany lost the war because no matter which way you cut it they bit if more than they could chew. The Italians weren't an ally but a hindrance. Hitler lost his mind somewhere in there and had an exaggerated sense of how good he was. If a few things had been different it all could have changed, and lest we forget it could all happen again tomorrow especially as the world believes in peace love and mung beans, and despite evidence to the contrary humans will never be the peaceful ones they want.

People flocked to fill the ranks in the SS-Divisions. After he attacked the USSR, the hundred-thousand's pro-demonstrations rocked and shook entire Europe. The war for Hitler was lost in 1941 when Stalin was informed by his spy in Tokyo that Japan had no intention to attack USSR .(They attacked USA playing Roosvelt s game who wanted desperately USA entering the war). That gave Stalin the chance to withdraw 1000000 well equipped men from Siberia and attack army group center which was encircling Moscow. There were many other big mistakes but this was the turning point-not Stalingrad. If Stalin was fighting in two fronts he would be finished in 1941 or 1942. But now Japan had to fight USA and Germany alone USSR which was supported by USA/plus USA cause Hitler declared war on USA/it was impossible to win. WW2 was basically the German Russian conflict and was won by Russians who sacrificed 27000000 dead. English Americans attacked on the so called D day not to liberate Europe but to stop all Europe from becoming communist.

Hitler lost the war because the Japanese High Command had dyslexia and understood “Pearl Harbor” instead of “Port Arthur” and “USA” instead of “USSR”. Just kidding. The main reason Hitler lost the war was because the Axis powers had almost no coordination between their actions and because of that all three made at least one catastrophic blunder. Italy by attacking Greece and by hesitating to join Germany at the earliest stages of the war. Japan by attacking the US instead of the USSR. And Germany by attacking the USSR without coordinating with a Japanese attack on the East, outstretching the Soviet war effort.

Many Americans utilize Hitler as a symbol to deflect attention from the historical injustices faced by Native Americans and African Americans. The atrocities committed against these groups were equally horrific in their own right, and it's important to recognize that the value of a life cannot be measured solely by numbers one death is as significant as a million. Rather than drawing direct comparisons, we should acknowledge the broader pattern of violence throughout history. From Alexander the Great to various renowned military leaders, the conquest of land has often involved mass killings, imprisonment, sexual violence, and the destruction of communities. We must confront these uncomfortable truths rather than allowing them to be overshadowed by a focus on one historical figure.

A number of reasons why the Germans lost WW2 have already been mentioned by others, with a shortage of manpower and raw materials years before the war began being very high on the list. What doomed the Nazis however, was their lack of any coordinated plans on rearmament between their service branches. This, combined with Hitler's changing priorities, resulted in megalomaniacal programs, such as the Navy's Z- Plan, the Air Force's Hermann Goering Program, and the Army's Panzer Program 41. Because of the fundamental needs of the other two services, any one of these was well beyond Germany's ability to deliver on. Yet, the Nazis twice attempted to deliver on two of them simultaneously. Moreover, even when these programs were not in progress, the three service branches competed against one another for raw materials and manpower which Germany simply didn't have.

Hitler lost WW2 because he had enemies against him who far surpassed Germany in industrial, resource and human capacity. That is the only real reason, and neither this or that great battle, nor this or that political decision, nor the brilliance or incompetence of his generals and army are of great importance. He could win many great battles, he could make all kinds of decisions, he could have the most brilliant military minds and nothing would help. Maybe the war would have lasted longer, but in the end it would have ended as it did. His enemies were simply incomparably stronger in everything and that was it, everything else was irrelevant. Too much attention is always given to Hitlers interference with German military decision making, individual battles that were lost or military material. I would rather look at the underlying reason: economy! Although Germany was a big power, it was in the end economically just too small to win the war. This in combination of having far to little access to raw material. Even the UK alone was maybe too big for Germany. But taken on the USSR was crazy, as was the unavailability of the US joining the war (not because of Pearl Harbor, also because the US had to protect economic interests in Europe and the UK in particular). Defeat was inevitable given the cold economic numbers. Hitler actually lost the war the day he started it. People were blinded by initial successes that had no future (occupying half of Europe against their will was unsustainable). The real miracle is that Germany could stay at war so long.

"Why Hitler lost". It implies that it was his to win. While this documentary gives the timeline of events. It doesn't really give the reasons for why Hitler lost. Modern warfare in the 20th century was one of production, manpower and logistics. The United States at the time had the capacity to outproduce every other combatant PUT TOGETHER (Allied and Axis) and was the leading oil producer. Between that and the advantage in manpower provided by the USSR, Germany's defeat was inevitable even setting aside all of Hitler's blunders (USA will have entered the war in Europe even if Hitler didn't declare war on the United States). Its a lesson that should be heeded should a war break out between the United States and China. Considering China's advantage in production especially in warships, it may not go that well for the United States in a drawn out conflict at sea.

@@throughstruqqle You are correct, on June 22, 1941, Germany invaded Soviet Union with Operation Barbarossa. But, the upcoming winter proved deadly for the Germans, who were not prepared to battle in a cold Russian winter. High Command anticipated winning and capturing ground before the winter of 1942 took hold, not battling through it
