Bravi ❤. Ciao 👋 al prossimo video.

Great video: well done! For the batteries, you could add more later, depending on your real needs in winter. The joy of living is very real, we see on your faces that everything is good. Congratulations, keep it up, and life will bring you everything you need.

Hi guys, sorry if I ask but why did you find it necessary to replace the batteries?
@BaileysHomestead5 ай бұрын
Hi Pedro 😊 we were changing the battery type to LiFePO4 ones which have a much longer lifespan and safe to discharge fully. If we discharged our old ones below 50% it could damage them and we had no way of controlling this

Cool video, but I for sure hope you did reconfigure the inverter's config to Lithium batteries instead of AGM - and the parameters that come with changing battery-type :)

Yes we did before switching on 😊

Do you think you might connect to the grid to cover days/weeks when the sun doesn't shine as much. Especially when in time little ones come along 😃. But I would like to echo the comments that mentioned how far you two have come along in a relatively short time. I don't know if you are familiar with the channel called the Newbys . The husband also has a passion for making things out of wood and maybe have a look at Mr and Mrs Adventure and many others like you living the dream. Hope Portugal always looks after you as you all are incredible visionaries. All the best to you both and, of course, fur baby Bailey. 🌻🫶🐈🌞

Last winter we managed OK with just the solar system, but if needs be we might look at adding a wind turbine maybe 😊 yes we are familiar with some of the other channels, nice to see others doing the same thing! 💚 thanks always for you your kind comments, best wishes back 🥰

Why would you not use both kinds of batteries to give you added storage capicity in parallel?
@BaileysHomestead5 ай бұрын
We thought about it but just don't think we are knowledgeable enough about how to do it safely with mixing the battery types. It tends to not be recommended

Hi - How do you manage the drainage systems and the costs ? Thanks
@BaileysHomestead5 ай бұрын
Hey 👋 we have a septic tank for the toilet and the greywater just runs out to the land at the moment, although we plan to make a system to reuse the greywater for irrigation 😊

Ah Mary! I really hope you get to try it out even in a little way, so difficult i know though with how things are today. Also completely get that this lifestyle isn't for everyone, you have to be willing to let some things go. I guess we are lucky that we both wanted the same thing. Best wishes to you, don't think it's too late, you never know what opportunity could pass you 💚
