I too have had trouble with not 1, but TWO OSS Suppressors. Back in 2017 I bought one of their original BPR26 in 7.62 which they said was FULL AUTO CAPABLE (and its own manual said the same). After firing it full auto, the tube buldged and I could not get the sleeve back on. Called them up and they said it was not full auto and that I had to get the IFM6 version. After arguing, I reluctantly agreed and had to PAY (additional $400 on the BPR26 cost of $1,300) to get that IFM6 replacement (received in 2018). Low and behold, now the IFM tube has a 4 inch long CRACK in it. What do you think they said this time: "After reviewing your suppressor with our RMA team, it is going to be unrepairable due to the compromise to the outer housing. Considering that this happened well outside of the lifetime of the suppressor and was not caused by a manufacturer defect, we will be offering 50% off of a new suppressor." Since when do suppressors have a "lifetime" considering you offer a LIFETIME warranty. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY - Don't buy Huxwrx

I DO agree the mounts as well as the pressure pad/tape switch for cloud is not good, I recommend Modlite
@2amichaelj5 ай бұрын
I haven't run into any issues with Cloud lights. Maybe I got lucky but I have a Rein 1.0, Rein 2.0, Rein 3.0, MCH, and MCH Duty all in the full size and micros for all their models. I do see your complaints on their tape switches and mounts. Definitely not a fan but it's nice they include them rather than offering them as an upcharge like every other light manufacturer. I do like the compatibility of Modlite, Surefire and Arisaka/Malkoff more. The Surefire Turbo series is probably my favorite but man those heads are HUGE and I wish the X300s heads were threaded and compatible with their rifle and handheld lights. I took a low light level class with a Cloud set up and it ran good. I don't like the unprotected flat top batteries though. Everyone else in the industry uses button tops and now I have to carry 2 types of 18350s and 18650s. Trust me, there's things I don't like about Cloud lights but I could say the same for each of the top 4.
@randyreviewsit5 ай бұрын
Yeah I have done arisaka with the Malkoff head or whatever lately, just got a modlite head on the recent 18650 dual fuel. If it’s working for you then maybe you got the good qc day

Good video but I'm Good with Cloud Defensive. I've a dozen CD lights from the OWl, Rein & Rein Micro's versions 1, 2 & 3 & have never had any of the issues with the function. Torq things to the right spec & you won't have to worry about stripping screws, holes, mounts or caps. The mounts are included. I buy separate Arisaka inline or offset scout mounts. You have to buy separate mounts with other light offerings in their price point so that is a non-issue. Their remote switches could be better but hopefully the new versions improve upon them.

I think I'd try and find the appropriate thread tap for the can and slowly give it the business myself. (By hand!) Then you have the tap in case it happens again.

I got a Rein 1.0 weapon light and havent had any issues with it. It's been a tank. I've had it for a really long time now and beat the hell out of it. Its still really bright. The mounts are meh though. You aint wrong about that. Also, i got that Griffin hrt 5.56 now. Once all that CLEO stuff cleared it got shipped from Capitol Armory's local ffl and arrived in like 16 hours or something like that. Overall the process was pretty painless. Just annoying there's a 7 day non over the counter sale waiting period AFTER The tax stamp has already been approved by the atf lol. Its incredible what huxwrx did to you. That's not fair at all. A 50% discount woopty do! Their cans are really expensive already. I think you're going to like the griffin can. They're not flow through but they're definitely "reduced back pressure". I think if you run the griffin can on your griffin gun you might really have good results. Their SOB buffer thing actually works pretty decent.
@randyreviewsit5 ай бұрын
The 1.0 head has held up it was the 2.0 and mch I had issues with. My 1.0 just has the beat up mount because I have used it on like 5 different guns. Also bought a second griffin can last night.

My dumb ass brother in law shot his 7.62 Ti off of his gun within the first magazine of his first time shooting it after waiting 10 months for his stamp to get approved. Apparently he only screwed it onto his MD so that 1 single thread engaged, which left the can sort of drooping off the end of his barrel. Pulled the trigger and yeeted the can off his gun down range. RSO had to call a ceasefire and it turned out he destroyed the inside of his can with a .300BLK sub. He said HuxWrx covered it 100% and sent him a new can free of charge.. But he was probably just trying to save face cause it was 100% user error

lol so I think if you don’t have an agb or piston or something like that these are still solid options because no gas to the face. Does it suppress alright yes, but I also can get my resonator k to suppress about the same with an agb
@aaa-dc5us4 ай бұрын
@@randyreviewsit I have a piston (lwrc) and just bought the ventum 556, waiting for approval. Based on this experience, do you recommend direct thread installation, a specific mount, etc?

@aaa-dc5us the rearden mount stuff seems to be popular, I would look at adding another can though and using a more traditional can maybe on a piston

@@randyreviewsit especially on that suppressor. The money and the wait wasted. Not like a bad olight. Thats supposed to be a multi generational product. Bc of the laws and wait. On a side note.
