Jamaica is beautiful but some people there are horrid 😅. However, life in the UK is not great and your decision is backward. There are big plans for Jamaica so if you are not requiring money through the sale of the property I would keep it. You may seriously regret your decision. Pray hard about it ok. ❤

My cousin was building his house but his wife pass before they they could enjoy it together. I wish he could have his dream come thru whatever it is. ..

In 2011 I return to Jamaica and after living in both UK and USA my choice was to return to my island home and start my family. I have since 2013 just before my first son was born moved to Kingston area after living in Westmoreland. A time is coming yes where having a little land to grow food and for children to run around on is necessary. As you share your reasons for leaving Jamaica I think of the multitudes of others who have done the same. I am the only one who returned to live in Jamaica of my siblings. I think the people saying he didn’t address why he’s leaving probably didn’t listen and understand. He gave a lot of reasons why he’s leaving in his first couple of sentences. It takes a certain level of understanding to see what he’s saying. Like he said the people who loves him unconditionally are in Europe. He also said living in a big house in Jamaica, you’re considered rich and because of that you’re sometimes targeted, your move is analyzed by “you live in a big house”. He already did air bnb so now he just wants to relax with the people who loves him.

I do coding, 3D modeling, animation, and database development and I am glad I left Jamaica because there's nothing there, and I have no plans of coming back. Being able to use my skills to do what I want now in the US gives me the financial freedom to live comfortably without worrying about bills.

You did a lot of work in the house since your first video. Outstanding! I love Jamaica though I was born and raised in the United States. I have traveled to Jamaica three times in my life so far. The first time I visited, I stayed at the Playboy Resort in Ocho Rios (a very long time ago). The other two times I stayed in Montego Bay. For some reason, I have an unexplained connection to Jamaica. It feels like home. I guess it helps that I appreciate nature and all that it has to offer. I suggest that you study the changes that are taking place in Europe, USA and Canada. You and your family are better off in Jamaica. Within the next few years, more members of your family will want to move to Jamaica and you will have a beautiful home to offer them a place to escape the violence, corruption and inflation in the UA. I lived in Central America for 3 years and I returned to the USA over an emotional reaction. I regret it. I am returning to Central America later this year. This time, I will purchase a much larger property with land. Over the next few years I will focus on bringing my family to Central America and offer them a place of refuge. God Bless!

It is beautiful, and if you don’t change your mind, someone will surely enjoy it. I have a relative who goes back and forth from Jamaica to the U.S. every year. If you are a returning resident you have to know how to live in Jamaica. My parents lived other places in the world, but went back to Jamaica to live. They are deceased, but so glad that we have something nice to go back to. Thanks to family who takes care of the place. I hope you will find a person who will truly appreciates it.

I feel like I want to look back on your journey,I grew up in the UK, my father was a musician too and unfortunately he passed away in Europe, he was from a another island in the East, he also had a similar vision to you and didn't get to see it come to fruition... The land and things he left us was all tied up and still can't get to deal with it... The foreign German woman he was with, turned into different person as soon as he passed, she took all his things and said he owed her and made up all manner of stories to leave him in a state of dishonour, I now know that everything she said was lies, she even turned all my Dads friends against us... They think because we grew up in the UK, they can tie us up in all the red tape and demands for extortionate amounts of money, just to get the documents we need to continue our fathers legacy as he wished... Please ensure that your children see your vision and they are on the same page, especially after you choose to transcend this world.... Out of all my fathers nine children, I am the only one who is interested in getting his affairs dealt with so he can rest in honour, the rest don't really care, they were all around because they wanted the money or the land... I can feel that is not the case with your children, my father went through a similar thing nearer the end of his life and wanted to live closer to us, the pandemic came and it was too late... His will was supposed to be sorted out the same year and it never happened so his final wishes have still not fully been honoured... I see clearly now that if he had put the land and property in our names it would have been less stressful to deal with, especially as the majority of his children are in the UK...

Ugo, this is a more comprehensive video than the first one, and gives a better insight into the building of your home. The first video made it seem like you did everything yourself [with your helper], with no professional oversight. Now you have mentioned an architect, a contractor, and Parish Council inspection. Now we get a better insight into the structural integrity of your home. Good for you! Having cleared out the rubble that was on the inside, it is surprising the difference that makes ---not only to the aesthetics of the home, but also the size of each room. The home showcases much better than it did in the first video. I understand the desire to draw closer to your kids and their kids. That is very common in people as they grow older, and with you having lived a long time in England, there is your second [maybe even first] home. I still think I would have held on to my home in JA, but I feel when you further explain {Part III} it will be easier to understand your viewpoint. Travelling is a wonderful experience, and great to do while you still can. Having lived in 3 countries myself, I know the desire. So, I subscribed from Part I, and am now looking forward to your followup videos.

Seriously I have nothing but praIse for you and your wife for building your beautiful dream home, its an enormous undertaking and and such a grand achievement that most people can only dream of, (myself included). So you want to return to the UK, (I'm British). It makes perfect sense to be in the he UK, it will be your base so you'll be closer to the family but also closer for you to be able to travel around Europe and live your best life, I say follow your dreams and do it without regret.
