The routes I have run lately, there is no way to do 30 per hr. Its too spread out. I will be leaving soon as they are trying to get me to stay through Christmas. Its not as bad as it was the first few weeks, yet I'm a floater and haven't been on one route for a long period. With the right route and some negotiating on pay, I might would do it for awhile longer. But, I now have vitiligo and that makes it tough in the gulf coast heat. Plus I'm older now and racing to make deliveries is tuff on the body. Right now my current contractor pays 140 per day, which is not enough especially with the work load. I do know they will negotiate especially now with peak season they are getting desperate due to people quitting. If you can be done every day by 3 and they pay at least 175 per day then that's not bad. But unless u have the route dialed, then you might be out until 7 and that turns into a minimum wage job and its too much work for minimum wage. Get a route that u like and get done by 1-3 then it can be good, being you are getting at least 175 per day. Only problem where I am is that if you finish early they may have u out helping others with their routes. Idk it has pros and cons like all things but its pretty easy to get hired and start making money.

Give them an ultimatum! Or quit (and do it in a way that keeps you on good terms) and then in two weeks offer to help them out here and there. If they’re desperate, they’ll take you back in any capacity they can

i wasnt on a route like these guys whatsoever stuck on a mall route taking cart after cart inside side doors back doors backing into the garage and much more i was actually saying what the balls after my 10 hour shift working with the trainer.. so hopefully my contractor will allow me to use regular van truck im not the type of dude to be walking everywhere back in forth in the damn shopping center all day

What do you do for health insurance for the family and what does it cost you. I tried training for a mail route for $140 a day but found out insurance would be $1,250 per month and I could only go with Bluecross.

the highest i was able to negotiate a salary was to 240 a day back when i was in Fedex Ground, only lasted a month. After that they brought it back down to 190 a day without an explanation. It was the worst feeling ever ended up quitting a few months later turned in my 2 weeks notice and got a letter of recommendation I was out there.

I don’t know how doing what you gotta do to get paid what you’re worth is dramatic, but you do you. My journey was literally, “hey, I’m pretty tired. I think I’m gonna bounce” and then “hey I’ve got some time to work here and there. Y’all need help?” Doesn’t seem that dramatic to me 😂 you making 6 grand a month and then quitting, that sounds dramatic hahaha

What are they buying back?
@Ari-rw9hv
@Ari-rw9hv Жыл бұрын
@@Deliverypros so they aren’t buying anything it’s for veterans who have served and have the ability to take their time in service and contribute it towards a civilian federal career so they won’t have to do the whole 20 years working for said civilian job to get a pension. So say I did 4 years in the military, I would only have to work 16 years to get that pension and retire if I continue to work for a federal company. I heard some positions in FedEx provide that. I just can’t find if delivery drivers who are veterans get that too
@Deliverypros

@@Ari-rw9hv so I know it’s called “federal express” but ground drivers aren’t federal employees because we work for third party companies. The company I worked for when I started was “stormbreaker delivery.” I’ve never actually worked for FedEx itself

@@codenamenova6831 yup! I quit for about a month and a half to personal train full time. But if you do it right, you can make a solid income on low hours training.
