Once you understand the etymology of hell,and how it was derived and created, the fear leaves. Look up Moloch, a place where garbage was burned and human sacrifices were made, that is where hell came from. Also, hell does not exist in the OT. Then ask yourself, where did all of those people go to that passed on if there was no hell in the OT? The Roman Piso family and the Nicea council of 9 that invented Jesus and the NT has made up hell. My friends, Hell just means grave in the old testament. Sheol is the word which is translated as hell again which means grave. Then in the new testament the word translated hell is Gehenna which is actually what we think of when we say hell. I believe no one knew about Gehenna in the old testament. Gehenna is a new testament concept. Yes Gehenna is everlasting fire where the worms die not. The story of the rich man and Lazarus shows that the rich man was suffering in the flames. I believe everyone will have varying degrees of punishment because Jesus said that it will be better for tyre, Sidon, Sodom, and Gomorrah than for Bethsaida and chorazin on the day of judgement. I don't want to go to the lake of fire and I don't want no one else to go there either. Everyone has a chance to make it to paradise and not end up in flames. May DaddyGod grant you repentance!

Interestingly enough, it’s also the same thing that will probably keep me forever away from ever associating with religion again. The idea of an afterlife on itself is, at least to me, undesirable. The idea of eternal torture however is anxiety inducing. And I just cannot believe that this is a coincidence. Why would a just and loving god have a fire pit reserved for people who didn’t properly believe? So either god has a character I can’t revere, or it’s men made peer pressure in order to scare people into buying their bull. Ironically, believing just so you are save from hell is a sin itself, because god isn’t the focus of your worship but *your* fear of pain and torment.
@rebukethedevil15884 жыл бұрын
@@Hawaiian_Pizza_Enjoyer no matter how big or small sin is still sin,the penalty of sin is death and people love there sin. You may be asking why did God allow a world we're you sin. That's because He loves us so much he let's us choose. Just like a father and child the child has free will to choose. When we sin its like a child hanging out with bad influence, as parents you love your child but not the sin.
@Hawaiian_Pizza_Enjoyer4 жыл бұрын
Rebuke the Devil If sin is sin and if there is no differentiation between types of sin and the grade of punishment for them, then people who don’t believe but are otherwise virtuous would receive the same sentence as people who committed genocide. If that’s true and good for you, then so be it. Either god is cruel or people made it up because they needed a way to make others obey their authority willingly. Separation from god wouldn’t really bother a non-believer, but being tortured by forces who dominate them against their will definitely would. It’s a way to control people. It’s basically psychological warfare against the common man.

I’ve been a Catholic for 17 years, but recently I’ve been questioning my beliefs even more than usual. This video helped me realize something I’ve been trying to excuse or overlook for the majority of my life. As a child I remember desperately asking friends, family members and teachers if they heard messages from God - as far as I remember, they all said yes - and thinking that there was something wrong with me. I spent a lot of time crying and praying. Soon after, I told my friends that I too could hear them. I obviously see that differently now, but I realize I’ve stayed a Catholic because of the fear that if Hell does exist I don’t want to „be on the wrong side”. I have to think more, but the ending of the video hit a chord. I don’t want to perpetuate this fear.

I can at least appreciate some of your acknowledgment that God does indeed exist, or you wouldn’t hate him. What has happened in your life to cause you to hate him? Was it something man did? My greatest wish is that you would learn how loving God is and also how forgiving of our evilness He is. I was once in rebellion of God just as you are, and I guess the only physical proof I have is the change He has done in my own personal life. If you don’t believe in God, fine. But before you make that decision, test the Bible’s validity. God says in the Bible, “You will seek Me, and you will find Me when you search for Me with all of your heart.” And that verse is Jeremiah 29:13. Seek God with all of your heart through the scriptures, and also test the validity and proof of Jesus’s resurrection. I don’t rely on my own understanding as all of you do, which is what makes us so different, I don’t mind being wrong and will be the first to admit it, after all we all are searching for the truth. I hope that you all end up getting to know God personally, and in the end you will end up like me, spreading the truth to others who are lost, if you seek God and humble yourselves before Him. With love my friends.

Take this from me a inperfect man religion has nothing to do with God. That's man's way of trying to earns Gods approval through good deedS and not eating meat to be Holy. We can't earn God's approval He has nothing for sale it's freely received by simple faith through Christ and what He did for our sins. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. We must understand we not good at all we sinners all have sinned says romans3vs23 we all broke God's 10 commandments lying stealing ,and using His name in vain. Even hatred is the attitude of murder in His eyes. We guilty sinners that deserve hell and judgement and no good deed we do can change that. but God in His love made a way out to be made pure and clean in His eyes. Romans5vs8 God demonstrated His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. It's like Christ on the cross 2000yrs ago stepped in the Heavenly Fathers courtroom and paid our fine and penalty of breaking God's 10 laws so through His blood shead at the cross and our Faith and acceptance of Him we could leave the courtroom according to romans5vs1 justified by faith declared not guilty innocent and pure charges dropped and cased dismissed , therby through the blood of Jesus we granted heaven instead of hell and given by God a new heart with new dsires to please Him. agreeing and accepting Christ and what He did at the cross is different we must accept Him and what He did freely by faith. Only what Christ did at the cross opens the door nothing else. Creation screams out there is a creator. It's impossible for nothing to create something. Even a car has a maker. A building has a builder and creation Has a creator. If God is so powerful enough to make all we see surely He can give us words about Himself. Religion is Satans false way better known as cults. Catholicism is a cult , Jehovah's witness is a cult , Mormons is a cult. Islam is a cult , and Buddist is a Cult. It's all based on us trying to earn our way. God is not the author of confusion He doesn't have ten billion ways to Him to where we don't know which one to take. He has only one way for all Jesus Christ and what He did for our sins at the cross He's the only way to heaven and the Heavenly Father says John 14vs 6. At airport Get on wrong plane get to wrong place Get on right plane a specific one get to right place. God is the same he's specific so we know and it's not confusing His only way is Jesus Christ and what He did at the cross and our Faith and acceptance of Him. Two things about God's grace we can't abuse living sloppy and we cant earn it. Everything from God From a- z Comes only by faith for free through what Christ did at the cross for u and me. John3vs16 For God so loved the world that He gave ( he gave its a gift ) His only begotten Son ( He Gave Jesus at the cross for our sins ) that whosovever believeth in Him ( not just agreeing but accept Him and what He did by faith ) shall not perish but have everlasting life. Many say I don't believe the bible men wrote yet they trust in horoscopes men wrote. The difference is God gave men inspiration by His Spirit to write He moved upon there thoughts giving them the exact words to write it wasn't they made up thoughts. To many recordings of Christ. The most accurate bible today is the king james it was tranlated by translators from off the dead Sea Scrolls the ancient writings from the followers of Christ into our language. They wrote on Scrolls back than. This thing is real and God is to. One time I was asking a friend a question on the way to church bout bible verse He said I dont know and only He heard me. Yet a lady preacher Gets up to preach and answers my question bout the bible verse word for word. Satan lies to our thoughts and sometimes we wilfully blind we don't wonna see we hate the light and love the dark but God still reaches out to us through creation ,through His Holy word by His Spirit, through our minds , through people and circumstances He loves all and wants all to experience Him here than in heaven but if we reject what Christ did for us judgement and the flames await. It's simple to be saved we must first realize we sinners that broke God's 10 commandments lying , stealing and using His name in vain we guilty and no good deed we do can change that. We just humbly from the heart by faith reach out to Him in prayer. Admitting God I'm a guilty sinner I need your mercy please and I know Jesus died for my sins and I accept Him as Savior than instantly by faith through the blood of Jesus we made pure and clean , granted heaven instead of Hell and God gives us a new heart with new desires to please Him And only what Christ did at the cross 2000yrs ago opens the door

I remember laying awake at night as a child in tears thinking about all the people that were going to be condemned to hell and wondering why no one ever seemed to care that much. How could anyone in heaven sleep at night knowing that their fellow man(which could include former relatives and friends) are being tortured in endless hell fire for all eternity? Hell scarred me so much as a child that I remember thinking at just eight years old that I would never have a child since they have a chance of ending up in hell.

My thought on your question is that nobody will remember the people here on earth, because heaven is suppose to be a happy place for all eternity and if you’re constantly thinking about loved ones and friends in hell than what’s the point. “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. @dylanwight57648 жыл бұрын
It makes no rational sense, does it? Surely a god as supposedly forgiving and loving as him would appreciate and respect an honest atheist who follows the evidence? Why consign a rational thinker to burn for eternity? It doesn't fit his MO. Hell, even God is put across as regretting the necessity of his actions (if not the actions themselves) and his wrath only ever lasts a day or two until he thinks about it and apologizes in a roundabout way. No, the concept of Hell as a torturous realm was constructed by Christianity as a tool of fear: "Do what we say, or we'll make eternity miserable for you." Even Jesus only ever mentions a "lake of fire" in a vague, offhand way. Lake of Fire? You mean an incinerator? Yeah, okay, that kinda makes sense... Annihilation theory raises its own questions though: Why would God wish for atheists and non-conformers to be utterly destroyed? What does he stand to gain from our annihilation?

Don't worry. There is no such place. God is not the psychotic being that religions make him out to be. He only hopes that you will live good and well, and even if you don't, you will fix it after that, but it sure won't be anything like eternal damnation. So, just be kind to yourself and others, and regardless of what you believe, when you die, you'll realize that death is just a breath of fresh air, and not a means to an end.

@Rinkiarimo3 жыл бұрын
@@gabrielshigueo2959 Let me just point out that I'm not a Buddhist, although that is one of the best religious practice I've come across. Far as I read about it they are the most balanced and sane. In a very condensed way, they preach openly what most religions are trying to portray - the one golden rule of all religions "Do unto others as you wish others do unto you.". And that's basically it. They view the sins of people as karma. And karma is a thing that has to be resolved. Not by burning in hell for all eternity. But simply, let's say you stole a candy bar from a person. In this act, you accumulate negative karma. Now how do you resolve it? In this life or the next (Buddhists and other teaching believe in reincarnation) you have to return that candy bar. You either go up to that person and return that candy bar or have it stolen from you the same way you stole it before. And that's basically it. A man reaps what he sows (here the bible makes sense) All the suffering one person has gone through is right here on earth. From the smallest inconvenience to the biggest tragedy, it's all planned out for you to clean up your past mistakes. And all the bad people that make you suffer are actually your best of friends that help you clean up your karma. Take it from me - A person that prided himself that holds grudges for years upon years. When I learned that all the people that have wronged me were a sort of divine help to make me grow, I was stunned. After that, I knew why the bible said to love our enemies. They are as important as our friends. Now, onto God. We've heard for over a thousand years that God is this omnipotent psychopath that tells us "Do as I say or I will torture you for all eternity." Well we know we're God's children. Would you torture your two-year-old for doing stupid stuff, or because he doesn't grasp what your role as a parent really is? In the same way, God will not hurt you in any way - EVER. He's literally our dad. You deal with bad karma or "sins" in a way more healthy and meaningful way as I described above. So in conclusion. No, there is no eternal Hell that you will be tortured until the end of time. PERIOD. So don't you live in fear of that. Just do the best you can, be good to others and to yourself and you're golden. Feel free to ask anything that interests you about the matter since I've only scratched the surface about the topic. Or you can watch Hans Wilhelm videos here. He talks about the same stuff as I am.

Other religions are as bad as abusing a child, but Christianity is the most loving thing you can teach your child because then he/she can go to Heaven and know God and his love for them. The real problem is atheism because you’ll always have those thoughts about being wrong, whereas with Christianity you don’t have to fear that because God will be with you. You will from time to time get doubts but you can pray about it and those thoughts will go away and you’ll gain more faith.

Have you ever noticed this... The worth and dignity of a soul is measured by what it delights in! And delight/happiness is our highest desire. Men have killed to have it. Kings have gone mad trying to find it. Wars have served it. Affairs have worshiped it. We all seek it. Sadly, billions have died without discovering its secret... namely, that joy is not an it, but a He. The Gospel is the good news that sinners can delight in a Holy God. It's the good news that all of our deepest desires are satisfied in the ONE who sent His Son to bring us to Him. God is so valuable and so satisfying that the most loving thing he could do for us is to make Himself gloriously indispensable. He is the only being in the universe for whom self-exaltation is the highest virtue. Therefore, God's commitment to be glorified and our goal to be satisfied are not at odds but come to simultaneous consumation in the worship of His Son... who took upon Himself the Wrath that God had towards us in our sinful disregard of Him. A wrath that could never be appeased through man-made religion. Jesus didn't die to turn the world into a paradise, he died so that we could stop seeking paradise in the world... Temporal things such as beauty, popularity, money, sex, racial identity, gender reassignment... can never truly satisfy. BECAUSE WE WERE MADE FOR SO MUCH MORE! We were made to gaze intently into the Eternal Beauty of a majestic King, Father, and God... meet Jesus the Christ. Life is hard, God is good, Glory is coming God Bless!

Hell is a place of torment, regret, fear and pain for all eternity. Jesus said that the worm will not die and the fire is not quenched. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Hell was not created for humanity. It was created for Satan and the other angels who disobeyed. Jesus went through extreme agony to save you from Hell. Jesus Christ was whipped, beaten, pierced and crucified for all your sins. He even had a crown of thorns put in His head. He was mocked, betrayed, despised and rejected by men, yet He was without any sin. Even Pontius Pilate said, "I find in him no fault at all". Just as it was prophesied hundreds of years before, even before crucifixion was a form of capital punishment, 'He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.' - Isaiah 53:7 Crucified with thieves prophecy - Isa 53:12, fulfilled - Mt 27:38

Hell is eternal because sin is transgression of an eternal law. Because the moral standards derive from an Eternal being. Just like a crime against the President is more serious than the same crime against the average citizen. That is why Jesus Christ died for us. He is by very definition a necessary being, he cannot be retrained in Hell because he himself is Eternal. It cancels out. All you have to do to get saved is accept him into your heart, he will be your God and you will be his son. To the glory of God the Father by the overshadowing of God the Spirit. If you had the power of God for 24h you would change many things, but if he also gave you his wisdom you would do absolutely nothing. Humble yourself.

The Narwhal Assassin I know He's real, He delivered me when I was oppressed by demons as an Occultist. I now want to become a learned exorcist and just like a father he chastises me and rewards me, gives me visions and shows me signes. He is very real, and I am not the only one to talk about him with such assurance. Yes there are other religions out there and many of the adherents claim to have been involved in the supernatural but if you took that logic to its conclusion you would at the very least conclude that Atheism cannot be true. Atheism as in secular Atheism like it is usually used. If you're looking for scientific evidence which points towards God there is a lot of it. Same goes for philosophy and history. You just don't want to see it. For example the Kalam Cosmological argument which proves God by inference to the most reasonable conclusion, yet you deny his existence still. Even though inference to the most logical conclusion is how we do everything in our daily lives and especially in science. William Lane Craig explains this argument and has done debates on it. We also have metaphysical arguments like the digital physics argument which is based on quantum mechanics and recent neuroscience about the soul. There is also the cosmic consciousness argument, all can be found on InspiringPhilosophy's channel. But at the end of the day when I see this world and how logical and orderly it is, and how beautiful it is and how mysterious it is I cannot for the life of me conclude it came from a bang which came from nowhere. That is beyond sad and that's probably why I became an Occultist after leaving Catholic Christianity, and finally getting back to God as a Protestant Evangelical.
@Emily-pq6zd8 жыл бұрын
Dêstynatiõn Y You're on CosmicSkeptic's KZbin page. Watch some videos and be freed of this delusion you've fooled yourself into. The "God delivered me, so he's real" is bullshit. You delivered yourself. Have some pride in your own ability. There has never been scientific evidence for the existence of God, or Demons. Most of the arguments for his existence either rely on things humanity doesn't know (making God an eternally-shrinking being), or are made by biased individuals already predisposed to believing. I cannot tell you how long I've spent trying to find an argument that works as total proof. I have found nothing. Atheism can't be "true" because it doesn't expouse anything. It isn't a belief. It's a LACK of a belief. The logical order of the world is just a misconception from our own psychological perception of the universe. Humans are psychologically Human-centric. There could very well be a God that initiated the Big Bang. We have not yet found that God. The correct logical thought process is "X isn't real until proven real". That goes for God, too.

I definitely understand where you're coming from but the idea of hell just doesn't remotely sound plausible to me. Why would an all loving god send people to burn for eternity just for not worshiping him? And that's where I have a problem with God. Why would people assume that a God would be like a vain, self-absorbed, insecure and egoistic king? I cannot believe in a God that wants to be worshiped and I won't. According to the Bible and religion, millions, probably even billions of people, are going to hell. I would not want to be with someone that burns a cat, let alone billions of people. No decent person would. And even for the most evil people in the world, whether it be thieves, rapists, serial killers, etc. They do not deserve to burn forever. That's ridiculous. Nobody deserves to burn forever for anything. The idea doesn't even make sense. The point of punishment is to teach people a lesson. How can they learn a lesson if they can never stop burning? Even people like Hitler would have to stop burning eventually. I can forgive people who have wronged and hurt me and would never condemn them to a fate like that. So I guess I'm more loving and forgiving than God.

Our minuscule sins probably offend God way more then we think they do. God has made a pretty clear path to stay out of Hell and he told us that its a pretty bad place. I guess its not our job to make the rules just because we don't like the sound of the way the Creators laid out. Imagine if someone gave you directions to an unknown place and said " don't go there because youll die" and you went anyways and then died, isn't that fair?
@paramike977 жыл бұрын
Yeah but see the thing is that God will send you there just for not worshiping him. How is an all loving, all knowing God so insecure and arrogant? Do you see parents asking their kids to worship them? Someone who is truly loving would not demand to be worshiped. That's a fact. Look at all the people who are truly loving in the world. They're not demanding worship. And don't try to brush it off by saying "well they're not god". No, but they're definitely better than him if they're more forgiving and more understanding than he is. I would say anyone who wouldn't send someone to burn for eternity for wronging them is more loving than your god.

I, as an atheist kind of lean into the concept of an after life and view any outcome as equally torturous. Whether one lives in paradise (heaven) for eternity or if they "burn" for eternity it's equally as scary in my opinion. The bare concept of being conscious for an infinite amount of time no matter where it is or what happens is genuinely terrifying for me at least. I think it would drain me of any meaning or purpose if I knew that no matter what I would be stuck somewhere for ETERNITY. I'd much rather prefer non-existence.

If you are asking why I would still have pangs of fear over something that I now consider 'made up', that's down to a deep rooted psychological fear that rears it's ugly head when you are least expecting it. Maybe similar to someone who's been in a war zone and a loud bang will unsettle them. As I said, I'm pretty much free of my fear of hell, but every now and again, it will come back to haunt me.

bonnie43uk Well... You know Batman,right? I was referring to another fictional "bad guy" (which in the case of Lucifer actually isn't true at all, but you know how it goes with writing stories about conflict. It's always done by the "victor"...). You know The Joker is not real, neither is Batman, so why would you be afraid of him or rely on Batman's protection? It makes no sense. What is most awkward to me (as a lifetime "unbeliever") is the fact that you refer to the problem as a kind of PTS. You don't fear Gre'thor (Klingon "hell") or Tartarus (Greek "hell"), why fear another kind of 'fictional place of torture'? Why would a "loving god" put "mere mortals" in a place of "eternal torture" for a "sin" that only lasted about 70 years (average lifetime of a human), at most? Eternity is a very very very long time to compensate for something that is surprisingly insignificant in relation to "eternity", don't you think? I mean the planet itself is 4.5 billion years old. Humans only life about 70 years. Only compared to that we're talking even less than peanuts... So many questions about this "satan" and "hell" that don't add up... Why still be afraid?... I don't get it. I don't let my cats out on certain days, because of weather or work or whatever, out of fear something bad will happen to them. But there I have the knowledge I'm dealing with actual real things. So I curse, so what? The only fear there is that the younglings start copying that behavior... Just some examples of justified fears.

I wish I was not raised Christian,because even though I'm an Atheist the fact that I was born Christian,I was taught about Christianity since as early as I can remember,and I have been emotionally attached to the religion through fear,trust,hope,and in un skeptical belief,and because that lasted for so long it's taken its affect on me. I'm an Atheist,I'm age 13,and I'm scared that hell could possibly exist,I doubt it but just like you I have that instinctual fear, and since I was use to the idea of there being an afterlife I'm not scared of death, because if there is no afterlife then...how, how do you comprehend the absolute zero lack of thought,feelings,emotions,awareness of yourself,memories,sight,touch,smell,sound,taste,simply being non existent,not having knowledge of your past or your present,not in existence and never to be in existence again. This idea that there may be no afterlife or there may be an afterlife but it's hell for me is a hard pill to swallow, sometimes it keeps me up at night, it's to the point where I almost wish I was never skeptical of my religion,but at the same time I'm glad I was, I'm so glad I opened my eyes, but with new knowledge can also bring a new form of pain. I know I'm only 13, so there's still much I have to learn in this world and experience, but I feel like leaving Christianity gave me a little wisdom,or a better form of thinking because I now know to question things and to research and to fact check and to not accept something unless proven.

Getting over the fear of hell was the hardest thing I've ever done. For anyone going through this now I would massively recommend therapy and working on accepting things out of your control. If you live with your focus on the elements of your life that you can control, you'll be way less afraid and much happier. You can't control how much we know about a possible afterlife, but you can control your mindset towards this and how much you worry. A great book for learning to let go of these things we can't be sure of and feel like we need to know is called 'Letting go of control, finding serenity' by Danny Miller.

But there are numerous mentions of hell. And people sent there, Here's one of many, Luke 16:19-24, "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores, and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores."The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire."

@ltx It has been said the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the end is love which casts out all fear. I have a healthy fear of gravity, but I do not fear that my friend will push me off a building. There are, sadly, some people who jump off buildings. Are they not aware of gravity, do they simply ignore it, or are they self-destructive? Conscience has a similar "attraction" effect. We can be drawn to the good, or we can jump off a metaphorical building to our own destruction.

@@Antank8 Context is important. The people did not want a relationship with God, as Moses did, who was called God's friend. They wanted to live according to natural law; a law fearful indeed, red in tooth and claw. So goes human history. However, note the end of the "program" outlined below... it has a happy ending. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not... ...And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee, 2 And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; 3 That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee. 4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

I believe that's God speaking to you, He is fighting for us. He wants nothing more than for you to come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. As a Christian, I never have those moments because I know God exists. I can't deny what He has done for me, I was supernaturally touched by God. I asked God to cleanse my heart, it was a desperation type of prayer, I was not expecting anything to happen but as soon as I said, "Amen" I felt a rapid warmth and electricity exactly where my heart is, it only lasted 2-3 seconds. I knew my heart had been cleansed and I was truly amazed. God is love. He truly loves you, He loves the sinner but hates the sin which so easily entangles us and destroys us.

I have, I found it to be laughable badly written. It's staggering that people fall for such an obvious con job. I mean, the bible isn't great, but the Quran is just ... it's so blatantly obvious that it was written or compiled with the intent of controlling people and making them do certain things to ensure the survival of its followers.
@PinkLemoOonade7 жыл бұрын
Beppe the bible was edited and has many versions.. However there is only one copy of the Quran allover the world (never been edited) And if lets say it was a person that wrote the Quran then why on earth would it tell them to do things that go against their desires ( ex: modest wear, fasting, praying 5 times, no pre marriage sex) That would be a way to deter people away from it! And how would he know detailed knowledge about ( politics, war, social science, biology.. Etc) anyways, this is just a friendly convo.. Not trying to shove my religion in ur face! Peace.
@jesperburns7 жыл бұрын
_"the bible was edited and has many versions"_ correct, but I was commenting on with what intent it seemed to be written. And maybe the fact that it has been edited explains why the bible seems to be better written. Not to you of course, you probably grew up with it? But I read both back to back and I was seriously struggling to finish the Quran. As for your second point. I can't see why that would be an argument? I already said that I think it was written with the intent of controlling people, why wouldn't you include the things you mention? It's been a while but what "detailed knowledge" is in it about science? As far as I remember the "truth claims" were quite vague so that they can be loosely interpreted to mean multiple things. And why wouldn't they have knowledge about politics and war? Contrary to popular belief, not all people of those times were ignorant dessert savages, they might very well have been (merely superstitious) learned men, after all, this is already centuries after Socrates and Epicurus etc: if you're gonna make up a religion, you ought to have answers to the questions they posed. And I know, I'm not trying to offend you, I'm just telling you how I personally think about it.

Jesus loves you❤️. He died for all sin and was made a curse for us on the Cross. No one has to go to hell. All you have to do is Believe in your heart that God Rose Jesus up from the dead and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and you will be saved. The Bible also says that we are saved by God’s Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ. This is called Salvation. We have to trust that what Jesus did on the Cross was enough to save us from ALL sin. We aren’t saved by works/good deeds but because Christ lives in us, good works will follow through, but we don’t rely on good works on getting to Heaven but only through Jesus as it says in the Bible. Jesus wants us to have a genuine Holy relationship with Him and walk in His ways daily in Spirit and in truth. Also to repent daily meaning confessing our sins to God and turning away from them with our best efforts. He heals all people who need it if it’s His Will for us because He knows better than we do. Those who reject Christ end up in hell and He doesn’t want this for anyone. I can’t explain how much Jesus’ love is and people don’t know because they reject Him. It’s up to you. Not trying to fear monger in any way but I say the truth in love. A lot of people suffer with mental health and kill themselves. Jesus heals. He takes everything evil and fills us with His power and peace. He has genuinely changed my life, mentally, physically and Spiritually and He can do the same with you all of you let Him.
