Why I bought a 2019 ZX6R

This is a short vlog on why I bought the zx6r and not any of the other great bikes out there. This is simply my reasoning and nothing more. Thanks for watching and hope everyone keeps coming back for more content.

I basically chose the zx6r for the same reason you did. You can putt around town in low RPMs, or wring its neck up high. Looks awesome, sounds great and performs flawlessly

Awesome video and an awesome bike. I bought the same one in 2019, was supposed to be the regular braking system. The bike was still in the crate, they built it and I arrived to pick it up. The color was different from what had be discussed. Come to find out, Kawasaki made a mistake and sent the dealer an ABS model and the crate was mislabeled. I reaped the benefits! Got the ABS model and a new helmet for exactly 10K out the door, all taxes and fees included. What a steal. Love this bike much better than the two previous Honda 600 RRs. I put a Yoshimura pipe on it, and the TST tail light and fender eliminator. Incredible!!

I bought a new 2018 Ninja 400 ABS in March 2019 (pearl gray/black/yellow). Love the bike !! Got a good deal because it was a leftover. One of the reasons I love Kawasakis is you seem to get more bang for your buck. I will probably keep my 400 for a couple years and then move up to the ZX-6R. I agree, the bike is gorgeous !!

I jumped around between Honda and Yamaha both cruisers and super sport. I favored Yamaha r6 the most. Now I’m looking to get into a zx6r if I can find one in CT. I feel like Kawasaki has upped their game over the past few years

Totally agree on the colors, I wish they still offered the storm grey for 2020 but also more choices like red, silver or a dark navy blue. I definitely don't like the new orange one they released this year. Definitely looking to buy my second bike and looking at this one myself. I also wish they added a TFT screen on it.

I ride a 2017 gsxr 1000. Just bought a 2019 zx6r.. black and green, cost a little more but the black and green is the KRT edition with abs. That’s why it cost more, not just a mark up on the color. I ride both bikes, the power of the 1000 is amazing but the 636 is so comfortable and easy to ride, it’s a blast. And the stock KQS makes it such an ease.

I've got a 2019 zx6r too and love it. Totally agree with you on styling of gixxer and cbr. The 636 just hit all the right points for me...more street oriented, LED dual headlights, overall styling, quickshifter, slipper clutch, extra 37cc of power, and all that for 10k (non-ABS), it was the only one I seriously considered. I have a Ninja 400 for when I want something comfortable for longer trips and it's pretty fun too. I really wanted a Ninja 650, which is probably the perfect bike for my riding style, but I won't buy one until they put LED headlights on it.

Just wondering have you noticed anything odd with your ZX6R? I have one as well and I noticed when the bike runs extremely hot and when I slow down even with the clutch in a no brakes I hear somewhat of a squeak like sound coming from the bike.

Jordan Redd 215 is normal when it’s really hot out and you’re stopped with it running a while... now if you’re moving at a good pace and it’s reaching temps to cut the fan on you have an issue.

I too was torn between the R6 and zx6r, I went the other way and got the R6, I would agree the stance and seating position on the Kawi is more street oriented, but they are both incredible bikes! Glad you’re happy with your pick! Riding is a beautiful thing

*As a long time cbr 600rr rider (2007,2009,2012) I was always against the newer models but I recently picked up the 2013 All red cbr 600rr and I have to say the looks grew on me! Most people think it’s a ducati lol*

I chose the 2013 and 2015 zx6 because to me they look the best and the extra 36 cc. I like your review, straight to the point and I like the new zx6 thinking about getting one right now with these killer deals. Reason I got the second zx6 fyi is because my first was with no ABS and I felt after being in an accident where I felt that ABS could have helped thought I should go to ABS model. I use to commute every day on mine rain or shine, and those battlax tires are amazing in the rain even for the low tread they have.

Got a 2019 krt zx6r because its the most affordable and most good looking middleweight supersports bike for 2019. Love that exhaust sound, almost the same as mine, M4 carbon. Its a head turner man. Nice review

i got a. gsxr 600 2020 and i got a "angel eye" headlight of some sort idrk but now it looks amazing the shape is still like a cat but the actual headlight looks awesome! 👍 also if u like the "grunt" on the 636 try the gixxer 750

I want a KRT 6R, love the way it looks (okay, could have taken a few more cues from the 10R as opposed to the Ninja 400) , love the way it rides. Having said that, I'll probably be getting a Street Triple RS or Duke 890. A supersport can't be my only bike. If I were in my early 20s sure, in my mid 30s I deal with knee, shoulder and back pain. I need something a bit more comfortable. If I had the dough for a second bike, then for sure this would be it.

Fantastic point of view man👍 I have a question dear. If somebody has no access to tracks and dont like doing more than 500kms on bike but love handling control and love riding slow and fast both,depending upon mood n weather,which bike would you suggest out of these options? 1) street triple rs, 2) cbr650r 3) zx6r 4) duke 890r.. And yes, appearance, styling and attention to detail is a huge issue for me,like you have. Thanks in advance ☺️

Can you tell us a bit more about the seating position for cruising and street? Do you feel your wrists or back being sore? Is it comfortable or do you feel like riding home after a while because it is too exhausting?

I was looking at one of these... they are definitely cheap in price. They look good but for me honestly it really didn’t feel comfortable. I was really debating on the GsxR 750 or the Kawasaki 636.... but in the end I love my bike and glad I chose the GsxR

Bought a Zx6r in September. Watched a lot of reviews, took a lot of test rides. Was swaying between Suzuki Gsx1000sf and Kawasaki Z1000sx. Look for Mark Pulling reviews on both. Then Mark unveils his new Zx6r and tagged his review. Sounded too good to be true. So tested it myself and it was everything I was looking for. @Nixx T it's more of a respect thing. I respect the fact that my wife fears that I won't make it back home. I respect the fact that my kids will be devastated to lose their father. Just recently, she watched a man on a sport bike lose his life while she was at work and looking out the window at traffic. Turns out he was on his way to work and an idiot in a SUV ran the red light. He died a block away from where he worked. Needless to say that I'm not allowed to have a bike anymore and I'm perfectly fine with it. I survived 13yrs of hardcore riding with only one bad accident that I was lucky to have even walked away from. Had my fun with motorcycles and will always want one, but at 45yrs old it's now time slow down a little and maybe build that classic hotrod I always wanted. Sorry for the long story, a lot has changed in 8 months.

I looked at the 2019 Honda CBR600RR and I thought the same thing you did about the headlights. They reminded me of my Ninja 400's but too big. The tail end with the license plate holder also was too big. The bike looked great in some parts, and not so much in others. The ZX6R is perfect though. Love that styling. The '19 looks better than years past models.

what i really wanted is ZX-6R for life. Performance doesn't matter to me. Appearance may differ but most of all is Price and Parts availability on my country compare to other 3 japanese brands. That is the cheapest one and most stylish with a hefty bit more performance. All i want to know if is it Fuel Efficient vs other 600cc Class bikes.

All the Japanese manufactures put out a great bike to be honest.. gas mileage is not horrible but it’s just like any other bike, if you stay in the throttle it’s gonna go fast lol.. I do know the 636 does show you on the dash if you’re efficiently using your fuel and also has the option to show how many miles you’re getting per gallon

The Green Color is The KRT Racing Addition that has Traction Control and ABS that's why it costs more! it's not just the color!

Actually all models come with traction control. You can get KRT green with or with out abs. The one I was looking at was non-abs and the dealer told me it was an up charge for the color. I asked if he was sure it was a non-abs version and he said positive and showed me the paper work on the bike. Plus the price was only $200 different other than the $1300 different from the base to the KTR edition

Bernadin Dice i came off a cb300r to a 2019zx6r . And very comfortable switch . Obviously you are leaned in more but the bike is sooooo smooth and the rides have been great so far

@@bernadindice5569 I owned a 2019 ZX6R and a 2019 Ninja 400 at the same time. I ended up selling the ZX6R because the 400 was so much more comfortable, cheaper to maintain and still a lot fun. However, I'm trading my 400 on a 2020 ZX6R tomorrow. I missed it too bad. The 400 just didn't give the adrenaline rush. Should never have sold my 19 636. The 400 is a great bike though...I'll miss it.

They most likely didn’t have a price difference because of the color schemes of the bikes one of them probably didn’t have ABS (storm grey zx6r) and the other one probably had ABS (green zx6r)

Not too bad.. 0 - 500 miles 4000 rpm then 500 - 1000 miles 6000 rpms... hardest thing is to not just pin the throttle back when you first jump on it lol..

@@hanzoshadowcodes some countries you don't get the pillion seat with it. In India for example, 600 class super sports are only street legal for the rider, so you need to add a seat and pegs in the aftermarket.

隼Hayabusa my 2019zx6r stays at about 165 farenheit while riding and sometimes if im at a stop light for a long period, it will get up to 200 degrees farenheit but as soon as i take off from the light it goes back down to 165 pretty quickly

I’m glad someone is willing to buy these bikes, but I feel the zx6r is definitely a pointless bike. Weighs as much as a literbike and you can catch some fire ass discounts on literbikes dealers just won’t give you for the 600class

Jake_Ammz17 so you’re just going to ignore the comment to ask an even more pointless question? 1.) looks are subjective 2.) I’ll say it again.. Long story short liter bikes either way the same as it , 2 weigh less than it, and the rest only weight 10lbs more than it. 3.) CBR1000rr was a flop.. you can literally pick up a 2017 CBR1000rr be lighter than a ZX6R, have more power across the rev range, use power modes to put you equal power to a 600... and best of all only pay $8,999 for it You’d be a fool to pay 7,999 for a left over zx6r when you can wait a year and get a left over cbr1000rr for $1,000 more. If looks are that important fine whatever ..

MotoVation 3 me searching my comment for where I said zx10r.... nowhere. I implore you to check for leftover zx10R from 2016/17.. Zx6r do not get the heavy discounts like the literbikes .. I’m looking at a 2017 for 11k now no miles.
