You can install a remote start with alarm for $150-250. Dealership and specialty shops like to charge $900 for it because they can get away with it. I installed mime for $150 and have been using it for last 3 years and all works well.

I was going to purchase a Challenger, my neighbor has one, but I currently drive a Mach 1 on the weekends.. My initial thoughts were to get Challenger, that would be fun for 1/4 runs and a track day her and there. I watched this video and my mind was changed. Yes, I have RP Productions to thank for swaying me to the Charger. What's funny is I had Already decided on a Challenger but this video got me to thinkin' much more globally. For me, the features you've pointed out (remote start, red calibers, trunk opening and gas door, insurance cost etc) + the fact I could sell 2 cars (TL Type S and Mach1). Which would gave me more to put down towards the Charger which would be a Daily Driver vs the 2 door sport car which I would pretty much only drive on weekends. I also save some on insurance since I no longer need a coupe and sedan as the sedan took the place of both! It's now been a month that I've had my Charger. It's exceeded all of my expectations. I do appreciate all that you've done for the Charger community. All the best to you Ryan and Thank you!

Very nice. Until I saw this I didn't know the Charger came in that color. I have a 2015 Charger SRT392 in Granite Crystal. Had it since August 2015 and just went over 16K miles. Daily driver with 50 mile each way commute. For normal commute I leave in Eco mode and am averaging lifetime over 22mpg. Although when I do want to hit it in other drive modes you can watch the mpg drop! Love love love the car. Solid as a rock, no problems at all (except nail in tire on week 2 causing a new tire purchase!) and having the power when I want it is awesome. Congrats and enjoy!

Both cars are beautiful American muscle icons! If you want a tougher / even gangster-like image, go with the challenger, if you want a more mature (but still masculine / tough) image (and more room lol), go with the charger. Love both!

@@xxsilver_gamingxx389 I'm actually in my second challenger now. The dash in the challenger is more cockpit style and the charger is more open. Plus I like the look of the challenger better. Also power and torque is different in the sxt and r/t challengers. Once you get to scat they are the same. Sxt challenger is 305hp and 268tq but the charger sxt is 292hp and 260tq unless you get the GT charger which is 300hp and 264tq. Then r/t challengers are 375hp and 410tq for manual then auto is 372hp and 400tq but the charger r/t is rated 370hp and 395tq. Not that much difference but it is a little difference.

All about the Shaker hood. Sound depends on what scat pack stage you have also. all the things your saying the Challenger dosnt come with mine came with. The problem with the no gas cap makes you wonder when you need to replace the gas cap for smog reasons, do you need to replace the whole door. I have a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack Shaker, and also a 2016 Charger but only the v6 on the Charger, wife like gas milage for some reason.

Couple notes- you can get a grab strap for the trunk of a challenger for 10 bucks and the remote start for a challenger is part of the driver convenience group(595.00) that gives you blind spot detection, rear sonar etc. it's a definite worthwhile package even without the remote start.

+RP Productions you are correct sir, a big duh on my part. I was thinking of the uconnect option which is 695. Do your rear seats fold all the way down? The challenger rear seats with the head rests means the rear seats hit the back of the front seats when trying to fold. Unless you sit with your chest touching the steering wheel, they are not folding flat. I just went with razors edge rear seat delete kit since it gives me a lot of room to put my titanium and carbon fiber wheelchair behind the seats plus drops 31lbs.👍🏻

Nice pick. My dad's got a black one of these. Drove it a bit last week; it's ASTOUNDING. I have a '12 Charger R/T Max and it's a great family car, but the Scat Pack 392 transcends that and enters crazy fun territory. I'm sure you'll enjoy it for a long time to come. I didn't realize they stopped producing Plum Crazy. I'm looking into the Challenger Scat Pack myself for my next car (still kicking around an '06 Pontiac GTO, so it's about time) and wish they still made them in Sublime...I love that color. Every since I was a kid I've always wanted a Charger...I finally was able to get my own in 2014...picked up a nice black 2014 Charger. My issue with the new models of 2015 and 2016 is mainly the back of the car....at a glance I feel like it's an upgraded Dart, the backs look very similar. The previous versions with the more squared edge back and aggressive think tail light..you know instantly it's a challenger or a charger, very iconic look that isn't shared with any other vehicle type. Regardless of how it looks they are still fantastic cars to drive, and the meanest to see in the rearview. Enjoy it! :D

The dodge challenger R/T scat pack combines the same high-performance hardware as the charger, but in a more nimble, two-door coupe body style. words of advice. I just hit 1500 on my charger scat and I would follow the owners manual for the first 500 miles. I would activate launch control until 1500 miles. Yes the engine tolerances these days are better but I would go WOT until after 500 miles. Also what did you end up buying the car for?

If you really just have to have more hp than Kenny Bell makes an add on kit that pushes the 6.4L to over 900hp with a massive supercharger for about 12k which makes it about 15k cheaper than a hellcat.

Speaking of louder exhaust, you should check into opening it up at a dodge dealership. My uncle has a Super bee Charger, and he brought it over to dodge. For $90, they opened up the exhaust at its a lot louder. Wondering if it would be the same for you.
