Excellent video! I've come across every format and kind of camera during the last 50 years, more than 30 as part of my living. I've even used 35mm cinema cameras like the Arri BL2, BL3 and BL535, I also shot on pro Camcorders from Ikegami, Sony, Thompson, Panasonic, Philips and others, I used every tape format from 1" analog up to Digital Beta and all the inbetween pro, prosumer and consumer formats, until I put my hands on a Canon DSLR which I loved. I lost it along with a set of 5 canon EF lenses while shooting a movie last year, and bought a used Panasonic Lumix GH4 after considering the BMPCC4K and the original BMPCC. I decided on the GH4 for many factors included my postproduction infrastructure at home. Now I'm thinking on an upgrade and even though the GH5 seems great, I think it would be better to go for a BMPCC4k and keep the GH4 so I have the flexibility to use all the same gear with both. Thanks to you, I'm reassuring my thoughts about it. Keep on doing such amazing videos!

Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It was great to hear your story too. It sounds like you’d really enjoy the bmpcc4k- and yes, in conjunction with your gh4 (I know several people who still use the gh4 and love it). The original bmpcc has a great image, but is much more fiddly. The bmpcc4k is such a breeze to use. And when you need something quicker, with a flippy screen and some autofocus or some photos, your gh4 will come in handy. And you can share lenses between the two! Lemme know what you decide and how it works out for you!

I have the lumix 12 - 35 but i like using Voigtlander Noktons on my bmpcc4k ... image is much better! But you need a tripod or gimbal with it

Nice! I had a Voigtlander Nokton for a different camera and I loved it. I’ve been meaning to pick up another, and I’ll definitely have to try on my bmpcc4k. I’m sure it’s excellent.

Do you have trouble with focusing with the 12-35? I’m tryin decide between the 12-35 with the ois or the Olympus 12-40 with no ois

I haven’t had any trouble with the focus personally. And it’s really nice having the ois.. it really prevents the micro jitters. I have other lenses if I want one without stabilization. All a matter of preference! Let me know what you decide!
