I was using my grapples today, and I sure do have a question. While the grapples are tilting, the jaws doesn't seem to want to open or close when I push the buttons until I stop tilting the grappel. And when i'm lowering the arms down, I can't tilt the grapples until I stop lowering the arms. Is this normal for the TYM because I remember using my friend's Kubota, and while I raise and lower the arms, I could also tilt the bucket or grapples at the same time. And with his Kubota I could tilt the grapple and open/close the jaws at the same time. Not with my TYM. I'm confused?? Help...🙃 Does the stick/hydraulic valve not allow you to raise/lower/tilt up-down at the same time? If this is a TYM valve thing that kind of sucks, it means I can't raise or lower the arms and keep the bucket level at the same time. Mmmm...

If you put the transmission in neutral and rev the engine up does it move faster. My thinking is that there's only so much hydraulic capacity there, and the kubota no doubt has a better pump

It does move faster. I just can't close and open raise and lower at the same time so I'm thinking it's a TYM thing. This is a new tractor I just picked up yesterday. (TYM574) If it is a TYM valve thing, that kind of sucks. That would mean I can't raise the arms and keep the bucket level at the same time. Mmmm....

You have a diverter valve as opposed to a true 3rd function. It is the most common type of “3rd function “ valve out there. The Kubota probably has a true third function. It has nothing to do with the pump. Your pump is just as good as the Kubota pump👍

OK. I think I understand now a little bit better.. The first and second functions are for the loader (arms/tilt), and for my 3rd function, the tractor is using a diverter kit "t-ing" in on one of the first 2 functions? If I wrote this down correctly, then that makes sense to me. Now, I took off the grappler and put on the bucket today... As I am raising and lowering the arms, I can't tilt the bucket up or down at the same time. Why is that? Shouldn't I be able to use my first two functions at the same time? Are functions 1 and 2 separate from each other? So, if i'm raising the arms up, I would like to keep my bucket level by tilting up at the same time going up with the arms. Thanks in advance. (Boy, that AC was sure nice today while I was mowing with my finish mower)! 😅
