I am using Smugmug for many years. Two big changes recently made it even worth more. One is that you can create (web)pages in addition to galleries or folders. Once you get the hang of it they are quite awesome. Second, if you use ON1 Photo Raw 2020 you can upload directly to Smugmug, saving the export to JPG or PNG in your workflow. I want to keep my raw files on my drives (and backup drives) but have no need for those formats to clutter my drive. In Smugmug they are stored in full size (and when you learn the 'code' you can download the picture later on in a number of sizes).

Thanks Matt! Awesome advice, was looking for the answer to a question - can I sell my own prints on smugmug....as in....not print through smugmug..... I’ll keep looking for that answer but ur content has been really helpful! Thanks!

Yes you can. You have to go with the portfolio pricing at $27 a month. You can sell digital or prints. With the power option $11 a month you can only sell physical prints.

Although I would recommend just selling a usb flash drive with the photos on them. So you don’t have to store them in a cloud and clutter up your page with multiple albums. It’s quick and easy.

what u mean usb? People use albums for a reason

I have smugmug and will not be renewing my subscription. I think the pricing is too high for the amount of traffic my site is generating. I can afford it but I can increase my profit by switching to another platform.

Dude, if u don't got marketing skills. And also, its very competitive aslo, everyone doing the same pictures. And some are even free lol

I just kept it simple and screen recorded the website and layered it over the video in Adobe PP. anything else would just be an image. Hope this helps 👍

You’re missing one of the best out there, although the ones you mentioned are good too. FORMAT is one of the best around for photographers and artists- beautiful themes, and the best support in the business. I highly recommend them as a portfolio website builder.

Smugmug has by far the worst editor. It’s complex and not intuitive
