I just took mine to the local Omega Boutique to get the battery replaced, the sales gent clearly liked it: "nice piece". It's going to be my new daily driver. For under a thousand you get 'peak' Omega quality and prestige.

Excellent. I have had the back off to check the battery myself. Its a screw down case and fairly straightforward. Love their comments!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say, but glad you love it as much as you do. Were they part links or half links on the bracelet? Do you know the measurements of each? Fit might be difficult for some unless the links can be manipulated. Important to make sure a used watch comes with all spare links that have been removed too.
@perfectwrist23Ай бұрын
Yes it did. They are full links , each with 2 small collars. Bit fiddly. There are also 3 half links. It does wear slightly tight or just a touch loose on cold days
@wristopia4101Ай бұрын
@@perfectwrist23 Sorry to push the point but half links are not usually half the size of a full link. The most common size is 9mm/6mm, (then 10mm/7mm) which will give you an actual adjustment of 3mm. Omega often do very small part links that could actually be half the size of a full link though. If you measure the size of the two links on that watch I am happy to tell you your actual fitment options. It's a very overlooked thing but easy to work out once you know what you are looking for. I call it 'Super Sizing™'
@wristopia4101Ай бұрын
@@perfectwrist23 I used to work in a high end watch shop before I realised how to correctly size a watch with, incorrectly named, 'half' links. The fact is that most watch shops, managers, and brand reps do not know about it (which is especially bad re Grand Seiko who have no micro adjustment!). The really sad thing is that they would not want to spend the time doing it even if they did. As most people do remove/replace their own links, this means a hell of a lot of people are wearing a less than perfectly fitting bracelet watch.
@wristopia4101Ай бұрын
@@perfectwrist23 If this watch is going from too tight to too loose, it probably will not help you much, but as your channel is called perfectwrist I felt you might be interested if you do not already know. Its also important for watches with both 'half' links and micro adjustment, so that the micro adjustment is there for its intended use of adjustment when your wrist changes size due to temp changes or diet lol.

Watch looks brand new, bracelet looks a bit chunky for a 36mm. The ability to move the hour hand would be the ideal solution to the daylight savings nuisance. I've been looking for an Omega for years but now that they make one I want they've priced it beyond what I'm prepared to pay but vintage could be worth a look. Enjoy.

Thanks for that. Hopefully this offers some confidence. Japan seems to be the place. They under promise and over deliver, also taking real pride in watches it seems. Totally agree with modern pricing
