I've been looking into Islam for years. In my opinion, it all just makes sense. I'm not practicing anything. But maybe on day, G*d willing, I will be Muslim one day.

One becomes a Muslim by believing in the Two Testifications of Faith and uttering them with the intention of leaving out blasphemy. The Two Testifications of Faith are: I testify that no one is God except God ( Allah ) and I testify that Muḥammad is the prophet of God. One has to believe that the Creator, Allâh, exists, and is not similar to anything. He is the only Creator and the only One Who deserves to be worshipped. He does not need anything and everything needs Him. God has Attributes of perfection that befit Him and any imperfection is not attributable to Him. Any imperfection, such as ignorance, place, direction, body, soul, organ, children, change or weakness, is not attributed to God. The rule is simple: Whatever you imagine in your mind, God is different from it. God sent messengers the first of them was Adam and the last one was Muḥammad. All the messengers, including Jesus and Moses, were truthful, ordered their people to believe in One God, Allāh, and not to associate any partner with Him. Hence, their Religion was the same: Islam. There is also a hadith in Musnad Ahmad which states, while the Prophet (peace be upon him) was speaking to Amr ibn al-As, “O Amr, didn’t you know that Islam wipes away all of the sins that one performed before it.

I was born Muslim but I had a phase similar to that where I struggled with my faith so I took some time out to throughly research Islam and other religions like Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Judaism. I found that the root of all religions are similar but Islam is the one that made the most sense in every way so I couldn’t really imagine believing in anything else and that is how I found myself ‘reverting’ to being a Muslim again Alhamdulillah. Take that time to really learn and never rush into anything, let your heart decide for you

Hey Sam! UK revert here! I like your story! I always find these topics super interesting because everyone's is different. I became a Muslim through process of elimination. I know for a fact, 100% chance that we are on the right path, although it's always a personal take because all of us are individuals. I looked at every religion and tried to find an issue with its core belief. Also it has to prove on its own that God is real. For me, the Qur'an (not the any cultures around it) was unique in that I couldn't find a single thing about it that wasn't legit. In fact it was so unnaturally precise and it knew so much for its time that my only conclusion was that it had to be written by some entity that was not bound by Space and time, who could literally see everything and how it all worked. Otherwise it would be wrong constantly with its outlandish claims (like and "expanding universe" that was made by splitting a single mass "asunder" for example). I got a math brain, and that just doesnt check out numbers wise, especially when it happens multiple times in different ways. It utterly blew my mind. Keep up your journey! It's not easy at all, but that's the whole point. A muslim is someone who does their genuine best to submit to their lord, and when they inevitably falter, they try sincerely to make up for it. Patience and perseverance. We keep going, and in the process we light up the path for everyone around us who are looking for truth and meaning in life. May you be protected from evil, and may the hypocrites that bark online be silenced and discouraged from their misdeeds. You are our beloved sister Sam, and so I pray for the genuine best for your future and for forgiveness for any of your faults in the past. Stay strong!

Elizabeth R here is the subtle difference I make. Belief in 1 and the only creator, the creator of the entire universe and the contents there in as defined in the Quran(that is, Islam) integrates all humans as one family, descendants of Adam who is the first human as per all the 3 Abrahamic religions. And belief in all the previous prophets that came before Mohammed, who updated and consolidated and the belief in one and the only creator that reinforces humanity as one. No light skinned is superior to black or brown vice versa etc. Other religions do not do it. By this, Islam eliminated racism and took exemplary steps to abolish slavery. The prophet himself setting an example - paid the ransom to free a slave named Bilal, adopted him as his son and appointed him as the Muezzin, which is a very honorable position.
@aishahembi47092 жыл бұрын
There has to be only one way that is the Truth. Allah gives us ample time and opportunity to steer our self and soul into the Right Path. If one is denied that priceless opportunity, like if one dies at a tender edge, his or her soul still has the blessings from Allah. They go straight to Heaven; thats our belief. Allah is Most Gracious. If Allah let you know only when you die, it would be too late because it would already be Judgement time. There is no repentance after death. Then we would all be at the mercy of Allah. For me, it is arrogance that is holding anyone from accepting that "there is no one worthy of worship except the One and Only God: Allah swt"

7:20 Disagree with that perspective. You shouldn’t avoid arguing because of doubts in your faith but you should avoid arguing as a respect to your faith. In the Quran, you can actually find a verse that commands muslims to not curse others’ gods because they might curse Allah in return (may Allah protect us)
@samantha.mariam2 жыл бұрын
Hey! That was literally my point though. It wasn’t cos of doubts in my faith at all. It was out of respect for Islam and I even quoted a verse in the Quran that literally says “you have your religion and I have mine”
@u.s.citizen9933 Жыл бұрын
I'm catholic, I love my faith and I believe in it deeply, but I also have a lot of respect for the good Muslims out there who take their faith seriously and strive to be good, peaceful people. Islam took a lot from early Christianity and Judaism, and thus we all share many common threads. I think Catholics and Muslims can both sharpen their skills from learning from one another, so i volunteer myself here to any of you who have questions about the catholic faith and wish for me to explain something and I hope you all will give me the same courtesy 😁👍.
@MsFatiah Жыл бұрын
It’s not right to say that Islam took a lot from early Christianity & Judaism. It sounded like Muhammad created Islam. It’s our belief Judaism, Christian & Islam belong to the so called Abrahamic religion which centred about worshiping the only one God of Abraham. As Muslims till today we still continue with the faith and most Abrahamic practice which Christians & Catholics don’t.
@u.s.citizen9933 Жыл бұрын
@@MsFatiah I disagree. Historical research, even from Muslim scholars, tend to agree that Islam had a lot of influence from early Christianity and Judaism. It makes sense, because Islam had converts from both. I can provide some research on it if you would like. As for following the old Abrahamic ways, of course Catholicism has diverged because we believe God created the new covenant which made all meat clean among other things. The old law was overridden by the new, although the old has value for knowing our story. Following the old way is actually against what we believe God wants for us, although you'd be surprised how much of the old way still is in Catholicism. We have a lot of traditions that stem back to Judaism, and Islam has differed from the old ways in many ways too. Although I understand you probably disagree with. I'm curious how you can know what Abraham did and how similar you are to it now. Also I know we disagree on the Trinity, yet I know the Trinity is biblical. I can explain if you want me to.

@u.s.citizen9933 Жыл бұрын
@@ttta-s3r thank you for the advice. I've read a little bit. If you believe Jesus wasn't divine, then you must think he's a liar because he claimed to be divine. Either that or a crazy man. There is no ancient text ever to have more evidence than the Bible. While the Quran contains some good truth, it lacks the fullness of truth and also has less scholarly weight to it. I only mean this with the deepest respect, since I know this can seem offensive to you but this is what research has said.

Ayesha the wife of the prophet reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Every one of the children of Adam has been created with three hundred and sixty joints; so he who declares the Glory of Allah, praises Allah, declares Allah to be One, Glorifies Allah, and seeks forgiveness from Allah, and removes stone, or thorn, or bone from people's path, and enjoins what is good and forbids from evil, to the number of those three hundred and sixty joints, will walk that day having saved himself from the Fire. Sahih Muslim (1007) And this is an authentic hadith to our prophet muhammad So is it true that humans have 360 joints ?! We'll see what modern science says There are 360 joints in the healthy human body. www.thejoint.com/2019/05/08/joint-health-part-1-natural-joint-support The joints connect bone to bone, and there are 360 joints in our bodies hudsonphysicians.com/bones/ There are 360 joints in the human body www.themedical.co.uk/conditions/joint-problems

Hi Samantha! Actually I had a burning question while I was watching this video. Hopefully you see this comment or someone else asks! From what I observed you're quite analytical and make fair judgement before making a decision, as you are an academic and take research and background information very seriously. If, as you say, Islam made the most sense to you and it worked in a way that Made you say "ah yes I can understand this" was there any point in time that made you feel an emotional connection to Islam? Was there anything that spoke to your heart?
@samantha.mariam2 жыл бұрын
Oh there’s definitely a big emotional aspect to it too. For example “So remember me; I will remember you” 2:152 - to think that God himself in all his glory thinks of us and remembers us every time we think and remember him always gives me goosebumps and whenever I’m reminded of that verse, I feel less alone. Scientifically, there’s no proof for OR against it so it’s purely emotional and spiritual. But it’s something you feel or at least, I feel an energy and reassurance each time I’m reminded of it. There’s a lot of verses in the Quran that makes me feel that way but that’s one of my favourites
@samantha.mariam2 жыл бұрын
@Homer X you should re-read my comment cos no where in there does it say I ONLY remember God when I read a bunch of verses. I gave one example and it was that. I’m also not out here trying to convince anyone about the extent of my religiosity or get into debates about different religions
