"made to seem fair to them" because they repeat the same sins over and over, and the fitrah becomes weaker and weaker, and because of repetition, the sense of guilt/justice/fairness/humanity is dulled and numbed and it becomes the "new norm" due to internal erroneous justification of such deeds.. the ending of the verse, the last word, was used in plural even as group they can't see the path. May God guide all of us and make us firm believers.

"First, second, third"? is a term used for a need to feel "distinguished" , if we believe this life is not even a half cm in journey of a distance of more than 100 billion light years (eternity) but just imagine 100 billion .. and then truly visualize it, then you and Q. Elizabeth if you both were to make it to haven, would that make a difference when you meet after 100 years in Jannah? what about 10 thousand years would it make a difference after 24 billion years. Those in the 1st world who did not make it, would they be saying "we were right in dividing the countries in 3 tiers"? Surat Al Hadid ayat 20 God says "Know that this worldly life is no more than play, amusement, luxury, mutual boasting, and competition in wealth and children. Life is not a video game bro if some one steals your phone it's real you can't get it back. If you pinch your skin you feel pain. People made video games behind a computer screen to try and copy real life.
