Thank you for having shared your story. We see the opression of women by sexualisation and making them objects rather than individuals to be respected. I am a revert too, since a long time. Walked a long, gradual path of change and very happy. Alhamdulillah. But only put the scarf one week ago! It felt, simply, a great joy. Even if not in a big city, but really in the countryside, in one of the most racist countries in Europe...but I thought, I will be helped, 'with difficulty comes ease'. I feel so blessed now when I go out and at the same time hope I can enlighten 'my people'. Thank you for inspiring. We are so many. May Allah protect you!

I grew up wearing the hijab for most of my life Alhamdulila, but lately I have been romanticizing the male gaze and receiving male attention, which led me to desire taking off the hijab and dressing immodestly.
