They are now the third largest nationality seeking protection in the EU after Syrians and Afghans" Explain that please!!!!! If you dont believe just use Google

I lived in Istanbul for 30 years. Istanbul is a fantastic dream city. But also quite a challenging city, especially for low income and insecure job holders. For travellers it must rank on top of the list to visit. Welcome and enjoy sister..

It’s a very challenging City even for westerners. I’ve been to Istanbul over 10 times and my last trip put me off. There’s no customer service anywhere, everything takes too long and the locals are indifferent beyond comprehension. Many Things cost the same as London minus the London service. It’s a beautiful City though, not sure about the people though.

_"since I became a Muslim nine years ago I have considered living in a Muslim country "_ - You could try Indonesia. Largest muslim majority country by population. They're far away from conflict zones, generally neutral with no political ties to any international security alliance (meaning it won't get dragged into any dumbass wars like many countries here in the west who are allied to the US or NATO), relatively stable society both socially and politically, and a G20 nation with a good prospect for growth in the future. Assuming the current newly elected President doesn't screw it up. People there also tend to have a positive view of westerners who turn to Islam and are very welcoming. You won't have any problems finding a community.

If you cover your face does that make you better human ? What is wrong with your face that if a man see and get sin to look at . Is this duty that God gives to human's woman from? I clearly understand that naked woman is not good and covering a normal garment is respectful for a woman but to cover your face can not be included this and this is too radical and illogical. According to you, does The God wants woman hiding in the garment and being taken from the society , I am muslim and I do not think God wants this. This is illogical and exremist approach and I do not want to see my wife to escape from the society with covering his face under thick garment .

One comment regarding the fisk market area in Üsküdar. The central parts of Üsküdar (especially the area which is flat and at Sea level) are not solid against Earthquake risk. I advise very much to stay in a location outside of Üsküdar center. Easy rule of thumb is: If a place is on a hill and not at Sea level, then is it is mostly solid rock beneath and much safer in case of an earthquake. At least, the building should be max 20 years old, since older buildings were not built for earthquake resistance

Stay immensely blessed; soul and body together, equating with and enjoying the environment one lives in; Masha'Allah you glow like a light. I've made a couple of MoUs with universities in Turkey; lovely counterparts. I spent 10 years in the US and the UK during my studies, but felt like a fish out of water; the Imperial College London photographer once told me, "you speak good English, but you don't think in English!". This has been my dilemma throughout. I always counsel my faculty and students to stand on their feet and hold their head high up in the air, like proud citizens; if your pride (not arrogance) is gone, half the battle is won by the adversary; I think the Turkish people have this quality.

Istanbul for me is a country within a country. It's a fascinating city and there is a lot to see. I find the people quite nice, very helpful and they mind their own business, not bothering anyone. Sadly enough, the inflation factor got in the way and boosted the prices to an unbelievable level. Everything got a lot more expensive than a few years ago and this had somehow pushed people away from Turkiye. I love Istanbul, it's really a dream city.

Living in istanbul since birth and even there are places I have not visited yet. Where ever I go I discover a new tomb that I have not prayed in before and its a wonderful experience each time. Istanbul is a challenging yet very rewarding city

I first came across you when I was 15 or 16 years old, through a newspaper clipping: "Tony Blair's sister-in-law has converted to Islam." I closely followed your journey with the hijab through news reports about your support for Palestine. With every piece of news I came across, my admiration for you grew. There has always been a distance between us, but now, for some reason, I feel as though there’s a chance we might meet one day. You are a journalist, and I work in television-who knows 😊 I’m so glad you’re in this city with us.❤

Assalamu aleykum, I am converted Muslima from Latvia. I love Turkiye too, I visit Istanbul 3-4 times a year. I love this city so much, miss it. From time to time I think about moving there, but I agree: if you are not married a Turkish citizen, it could be complicated. And after all I lobe my country too. It would be wonderful to make my visits to Turkiye more meaningful, away from touristic pathways, studying our deen, meeting locals and expats!.. Perhaps there are some opportunities for that, aren't they? I would be happy to spend a month or two in the good environment, together with other women from the Western countries. May Allah SWT shows us the way

Assalamalaikum, I am a born Muslim, born and raised in Europe. I go to turkey every year or so to visit some family there. I recently went to turkey again and heard the adhan there 5 times a day for the first time *as far as I can remember. But for me, due to my health, it’s unfortunately not an ideal place to reside in. Fortunately, I can practice my religion well in my country here.
